Joy

Today's card took longer than I thought it would. Firstly, I die cut my JOY sentiment and bauble. I then cut the 'o' out of joy so I could add my bauble in its place. I then used gilding flakes - gold and silver to embellish my text. I adhered them to my red base panel and added an embossed border top and bottom and then to finish off, added a sub sentiment.

Pastel Blends

I created today's card by stamping a collection of flowers and embossing them with White Embossing Powder. I then blended Saltwater Taffy, Carved Pumpkin & Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks over the panel and die cut the piece I wanted to use. I then die cut a smaller panel and used foam tape to give it some height before putting it back into its original location. I die cut my sentiment out of a bit of the blended scrap, layered it onto its base of white card and added a sub-sentiment and a white butterfly to finish it off.

Beautiful Day

I started today's card by creating my background with 'Brusho's'. I die cut my flower several times and adhered the layers together to give it some height. Once my background was dry, I cut a panel out of the part I wanted to use and then cut out an inner panel that I then popped up with foam tape. I also added a white outer frame as well. After adhering all my layers, I added a small sentiment, a butterfly and some sequins to finish it all off.

Gilded Birthday

Today's card was inspired by Christine Stokes, I have been watching her You Tube Tutorials see here where she uses gilding flakes a lot. I have had some in my craft room for a very long time but have rarely used them, Chrissie has inspired me to get them out and to play with them.
I have kept the card very CAS as I believe the gilding flakes are the feature, to be honest the photo doesn't do it justice.

Congrats with Wine and Sparkle

Today's card was created for our nephew and his fiancé who have gotten engaged. I stamped my image and then arranged my letters around the image before die cutting them. I then backed it with glitter cardstock and lightly coloured the wine and bubbles before attaching it with mounting tape.

Bubble Background

I created today's card by using the 'bubble technique' that I saw on Christine Stokes You Tube Tutorial which you can find here. It is a very soft background so I think I will have to add some more ink next time to bring out some more colour. Once the background was dry, I splattered some ink, then I stamped my image, coloured the outlined flowers with Copics, added some 'glass glue' and glitter for dimension and sparkle and layered it onto matching coloured card stock. I then pop dotted my panel and added my sentiment to finish it all off.

One More Trip Around the Sun

Happy New Year!

My first card for 2022 that wasn't a Christmas card...I keep making Christmas cards while I am still in the mood, it gives me a head start for next Christmas.

Todays card, I have used new stamps from the 2021 Stamptember, Sunflower Garden & XL Birthday Greetings. I stamped the Sunflower image in black ink and then clear embossed it. I then used some Distress Oxides : Broken China & Wild Honey that was watered down so I could colour my image with a watercolour look by dabbing different areas of the image into the ink and drying between dabs. Once dry, I stamped my sentiment in black and clear embossed it to make it pop. I then layered it on some DP from my mountain of DP that I really need to use and also used a cover plate to give my white layer a bit more interest.

From our Family to Yours

I created my background with my Gelli Plate, Distress Inks and a stencil. I then die cut my sentiment from the background and also die cut it three times with white card. I then layered the white card into the cut out and replaced the background die cut. I then added a few white stars and a sub-sentiment to finish it off.

Joy

Today I was able to make two cards out of one image. My earlier post tells you how I created a card with a die cut and my Gelli Plate, well this card is the die cut that has now been coloured by the Gelli Plate. There isn't any stamping on this card, but that happens occasionally. As I already had my image coloured, I cut a white panel down to size and layered it onto some matching designer paper. I have so much designer paper that I hardly use anymore, that it makes me happy when I can make a card with it.
I then die cut my sentiment 4 times and adhered them together before attaching to the base. To finish off, I added some soft green coloured gems.

Christmas in the Heart

I created today's card after being inspired by a card made by Karen Dunbrook at Snippets where she used a Gelli Plate and a stencil to create a background image. I didn't have a Christmas stencil but I did have some dies, so I cut out an image that I wanted to use from heavy cardstock and off I went. I swiped DI Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber and then brayered the colours to blend. I then laid my die cut image down on the Gelli Plate and then added my panel. I brayered the panel very well to ensure the ink was transferred onto the card and around my die cut. I then lifted my panel to reveal the above. I stamped my sentiment and clear embossed it and then flicked the panel with some watered down Peacock Feathers. I also punched out some tiny stars and added them for a bit more interest before attaching it to my base.

The Season of Peace

Adding to my Christmas stash because it is July...I created my background by swiping DI Forest Moss, Rustic Wilderness & Bundled Sage on my mini media mat. I spritzed my watercolour card stock and the distress inks then swirled my card stock to mix the colours. I did that a few times, drying my card in between swipes. I then die cut the panel and stamped my trees and sentiment onto the smaller panel. I also added tiny black dots with a fine point pen for a little added interest. I then layered the panel onto some dark green coloured card stock and layered that onto the full panel matching up the blotches. I finished the card off by foam mounting the front panel.

Have a Lovely Day

I created today's card by firstly stamping my sentiment and then stamping my flowers to make a frame for the sentiment. I then coloured the flowers and sponged a bit more colour around the edges. I sprayed the whole layer with Perfect Pearls Mist and then layered onto contrasting coloured card to finish off.

Merry & Bright

Today's card was created with inspiration by Ardyth. I like CAS Christmas cards as you have so many to make. I have used DI's to stamp my trees and then added a sentiment, mounted on metallic card and added a few gems to finish off.
