Peace Love Joy

It's been a while since I have posted and the irony is that I didn't make half the amount of Christmas cards that I usually make for Christmas this year and yet my first card in ages is a Christmas card for the 2018 Festive Season! My mojo is that low, I have been struggling to be creative for months now.Today I have cased Kim's card, Kim is one of the DT members at Freshly Made Sketches and I just loved her card, thanks for the inspiration Kim as I needed it. I hope you have all had a very Merry Christmas and wishing you all the best for 2018.

Happy Birthday

I finished this card yesterday but haven't had a chance to post it until now...I made this card for a good friend who's birthday is this week and added a bit of black to it as she loves black. Again, I have used a masterboard that I made with assorted distress ink colours. I have had this card laying around for a while so I decided to use it as my background, which meant it influenced the colours I would use other than the black...love using bits of card that I tend to have laying around. I swiped the text panel with DI Antique Linen and stamped some script onto it with the same colour than mounted it on black. Added the little pennants under it, layered my flowers that I cut out in two different colours then mounted the Happy Birthday on top.
I'm adding my card to the following challenges:
Craft for the Craic: Something with 2 on it
Allsorts Challenge: #402 Hearts and/or Flowers

Week 402 - Hearts and/or Flowers

Birthday Splash

Today's card was inspired by a card Jacquie made that I had seen on Pinterest and it just so happens to go with this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches when you flip the layout. I just love the contrast of colour and the CAS style of this card. Thanks for the inspiration Jacquie.

Seasons Greetings

Hi All, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and have an exciting New Years planned. Well the wet season has finally arrived for a lot of areas in North Queensland that have been declared drought stricken and I'm happy to say we have finally received some substantial rain as well. Since I was a good girl yesterday and did a fair bit of housework and as it's still rainging here today, I thought I would head out to my craft room and play with a few of my new toys that I got from Santa. As I'm still in the Christmas mode, I thought I would make a Christmas card with one of my new die cuts. I've had some backgrounds sitting on my desk for a while now so I picked one to make my latest card. I'm adding my card to the latest challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches
Thanks for popping in...

Wishing you a Joyous Christmas

I saw Stampin' Royalty's latest colour combo and really thought I would struggle with it but I can't believe how lovely this card turned out...I'm very happy with it, I really like the freshness to it. I'm also posting it to the latest Freshly Made Sketches challenge as well.

Red Robin

Well I've been missing in action from my desk of late...I started a new job 4 weeks ago, had a milestone birthday and a camping trip with friends so sadly my craft time is the thing that suffers. Needless to say today is a good day as it's Saturday and I have a play date stamping with two good friends to top it off! For this card I have used my new set of Brusho colours that I got for my birthday...still perfecting the technique but really like them and can see they have a lot of amazing potential. This background was made from using the excess from another masterboard and it ended up with just the right colour combo to match this little robin I had stamped ages ago but hadn't got around to using. I'm entering this card into the latest challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches and into our local ABC Challenge...R is for Red Robin.

And this is the card I made my good friend Robyn for her birthday last month. I actually made it before we went on our overseas holiday...and thank goodness I did because there was no way I would have been organised if I hadn't as I have only just now got a chance to post it....life sure gets in the way sometimes...lol...

Robyn knows that I don't really 'do' construction cards so was very happy to receive it on her special day.

Thanks for popping in and I hope your weekend is off to a great start.

Christmas Penguin

Well this is my last card for the day...this time I have gone 'cute'...I don't really do 'cute' but Merry Monday have asked for a penguin and as he is my only penguin...cute it is. Pals Paper Arts have given me my colour combo and Freshly Made Sketches have given me the layout. So..I'm off now, I hope you have some great plans for the weekend with a bit of craft involved. TGIF!

hello

Well this card came about in bits and bobs...I had left over DI for colouring an image which wasn't working for that stamp but I didn't want to waste the ink so I sponged it onto a base card. The colour combo is from Color Throwdown which is really pretty and I love the photo they used for inspiration as we went to Venice a few years ago and absolutely loved it! But I digress...I then decided to use a new Tim Holtz stencil I picked up this week and....after that I didn't know what to do with it....lol
Anyway, I saw the latest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and thought I might be able to use it for that but I struggled with it for a while and I'm not sure I'm completely happy with it even now but it came together in the end. I hope your weekend is off to a great start....thanks for popping in and until next time, happy stamping.

friends...

July's challenge (yes I am actually a day early with my post) for the RobVikVik challenge was a technique challenge that Robyn put forward. She saw Kristina's beautiful card here and challenged us to use the technique Kristina had used. So other than using this technique our colour and layout was 'anything goes'. Sadly I must admit it has been so long since I have heat embossed that I didn't know if my powder would work but lucky for me it did and I am really pleased with how the card turned out. I have used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but didn't make the band quite as big as it should be as I didn't want to cut too much of the pretty background card I had just made. I was also able to use one of the die cuts I cut out while visiting Robyn last month to finish it off with a sentiment. It feels really good to have made this card and be happy with it, the fact that it has come together so easily is nice as I have been missing my mojo for a while now. I wasn't able to have my regular stamping day on Saturday as our son turned 18 and he had a party that night but lucky for me it is a public holiday (Show Day) so I am stamping today. On that note...I'm off to search the challenge blogs....thanks for stopping by.

1st Birthday

Another afternoon where I have been able to sneak out to my Craft Room for some playtime...yippee!! We are going to a little boys 1st birthday party on Sunday so a 1 year old's card was on my list of to do's this weekend and I am off to a flying start with it already done.. The little penguin stamp is a new one so I'm pleased to have been able to use it already. I also had some bright DP that my friend gave me a while back so I was able to delve into that collection too...always a good feeling...and for my design I have taken up the latest sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. Make sure you pop on over and check it out. Hope you have had a great week and as always, thanks for stopping by....

Birthday..wishing you...

Back with another card for my stamping Saturday, after struggling for a couple of weeks I seem to have my mojo back. Another 'male' orientated card is always good to add to my stash too, they don't seem to be as hard to make as they used to which is good. My layout is from Freshly Made Sketches and over at Shopping our Stash they just want a sentiment...no other stamped image. Make sure you pop on over and check out the challenges...hope your weekend is going well, mine is...

peace, hope, love...

Happy Saturday Stamping Friends, today I am sitting at my desk making Christmas cards to add to my collection. For this card I have used the latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches as I'm on the hunt for sketches that will suit a Christmas theme and I thought this one was perfect.
