Magic of Christmas

An easy card today, to create today's card, I started off with making a watercolour background with Distress Inks. Once the background was dry, I die cut my panel and stamped my Santa image. I then adhered it to my base, stamped a sentiment, trimmed it down and adhered it with some foam tape.

Blue Sailing

For today's card, I dug out my Brusho's that I haven't used in a while. I sprinkled some Cobalt Blue on and activated it with water. Once dry, I cut out a panel and stamped my sailing boat and sentiment. I then layered it onto some matching coloured card and adhered it to my base card. A simple card, but one I really like.

Christmas Lights

I created today's card by ink smooshing my background. Once dry, I then stamped my Christmas Lights top and bottom, coloured the globes with Copic markers and added some glass finish glue to give them a glassy look. I then die cut my greeting in white and it's shadow in purple and adhered it to the middle of my panel.

Glitter Flower

My background was created by swiping DI onto an acrylic block and then stamping onto card. This background was actually made by using the second generation of stamped ink. I then trimmed it down to what part I wanted, die cut my flower in glitter card once and then two more times from a scrap of pink card and layered them for dimension. Once I worked out where I wanted my flower, I stamped my sentiment and mounted it onto black card. I then added a few clear sequins that will pick up the colour under them to add a bit more interest to finish it off.

Wish Big

Finished my housework so snuck into my craft room for a play. I had this background card laying around in my stash that I had made previously with DO's and bubble wrap. I trimmed it down and added the bird stamp that I love but hardly ever use...why is that?? Stamped the birds and my sentiment then added a second sentiment to sort of make this a birthday card. I only really 'do' Birthday or Christmas cards so I wanted to be able to use it for a birthday. I then framed the panel with a soft grey card to give it a bit more substance and attached it to the base card.

Harlequin Birthday

I have made today's card for a friends upcoming birthday. I masked off a border then inked my background with DO 'Peacock Feathers, inked my stencil with a slightly contrasting colour DO 'Mermaid Lagoon' then stamped my image. Coloured in the non silhouette flowers with Copic B12 as well as the 'happy' in my sentiment. Added some gems to finish off and framed with coloured card stock.

Birthday Wishes

I love creating my backgrounds these days so that was the first thing I did. Sponged my card with DO Broken China dried that off, inked it again using Mermaid Lagoon & Blueprint Sketch DO and a stencil. Dried that off then stamped my flowers in contrasting black to make them pop, added a 'birthday' die cut I had sitting on my desk, stamped 'wishes' and added some sequins for a bit of added interest, then pop dotted my top two layers to finish it all off.

Hello There

I made this card for a new stamping friend in the US. I created the background using acetate inking that Karen D posted on her blog - link here - I can see me using this technique a lot! I then stamped my flowers, die cut a 'hello' sentiment out of scrap card on mounting tape and stamped the rest of my sentiment underneath and added a couple of little pearls.

Birthday Flowers

I made this card the other day for a friend. I created the background with DI's, layered it onto contrasting coloured card then added my die cut poppy's that are yellow this time and not red and my birthday sentiment. Finished it off with a stamped 'happy' sentiment which I coloured in and added some sequins for added interest.
