Wonderful Birthday

My last card for the day, I created my background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst sprays & Brusho Crystal Colours, dried it off and stamped my sentiment. Added a frame that I had in my stash and some little flowers I had laying on my desk from another project, they had been previously watercoloured with DO's and finished it all off with some clear sequins.

Keep Your Face to the Sun

Today's card was made for a friends sister who isn't well. They wanted sunbeams to be a part of the card which I must admit was hard for me but I am really happy with the end result. I sponged the rays with DO's & a stencil, die cut my flowers and coloured them with DO's, added a frame, stamped my sentiment, pop dotted the panel and added a few tiny pearls for interest.

I am adding my cards to the following challenges:

Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my SIL, as it is summer here in Australia it has a nice and bright colour scheme. I created the background by inking up an embossing folder in two different colours and pressing my blank card onto the design. I then die cut the 'birthday' sentiment from some left over inked card and stamped the 'wishes'. Added some flowers and pearls and then mounted it on a contrasting colour.

I am adding my card tot he following challenges...

Just for You

I got a late request from my son for a card for one of his colleagues that was finishing up at his work.
I didn't really have anything in my stash really suitable so I whipped up this one with a couple of my favourite go to's. I had created some background card with my DO's only a couple of days earlier so I cut off a bit of that and added one of my favourite flower die cuts. Added a couple of butterflies and the sentiment to finish off.

Happy Thoughts

Another card for my stamping Saturday...I made this CAS card background using Alcohol Inks on photo paper. I then added a sentiment and finished it off with some tiny punched flowers with pearls in the centre. I'm adding this card to the following challenges...

Especially for You

This is my first card for about 6 weeks, I've really lost my mojo of late but I just loved Karen D's card (see here) so much so, I cased it. I taped off the edges of my main layer and sponged the background lightly with DI's 'Broken China' then stamped my image with the same DI, restamping it a couple of times to make it stand out, then I finished it off with a new sentiment. I'm adding my card to the following challenges:

Noel

My second card for today and another Christmas Card. For this layout I have cased this months designer Gloria Lee over at Happy Little Stampers. Have a look at her very pretty card at the bottom of this post....love the colours Gloria has used! Anyway, I'm in the Christmas zone so for my design I framed the NOEL with ivy...which looking at it now, I might just add a couple of berries (red gems) to my ivy. Well, I'm off to organise dinner, thanks for taking a peek.

All that Glitters...

I've snuck out to my craft room today even though I should really be doing some housework....oh well, the fairies aren't going to do it so it will be there tomorrow. Today's card is another Christmas card, nice and CAS, my favourite. I die cut a circle then sponged it with distress ink. It ended up reminding me of a moon so I stamped some random splotches over it to give it the look of the craters on the moon. I then stamped a favourite Christmas tree stamp and a tiny sentiment so the tree and the moon were the hero of the card. Then using my circle mask, I sprayed some spray adhesive on my moon and sprinkled glitter over my 'moon' and added some bling to the tree to finish it off. There are a few challenges that I am entering my card into...One Layer Simplicity want 'sparkle & shine', Happy Little Stampers have a Christmas challenge where they want a TREE and then their other challenge wants STAMPING. Over at AAA Cards they have the cue Starry Night, my sparkles are my stars glittering against the moon and last but not least, Winter Wonderland want all that glitters.

Just for You

Hi Stampers...I had a lovely day today with two good friends who came and spent time creating with me and here is one of my creations. I really love this card...I used the latest sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, the colour combo from Color Throwdown and the technique...stenciling....that Happy Little Stampers asked for and I'm also entering it for our small ABC challenge for the G theme - Geometric. I have several bird stamps but this is my favourite, I stenciled the background with DI then stamped the bird and verse onto the card...done! I just love making CAS cards and I'm really happy with how this card turned out. Thanks for stopping by and pop on over and check out some of this weeks great challenges.
