Lighthouse

My last card for the day and I never thought I would use a Cardabilities sketch for a male card because they always scream feminine to me...lol...but here it is. I've used the colour Q colour selection and both The Challenge & CASology want Nautical. There are a few blogs with the same cue over the last week or so. I was going to 'do' a ship but opted for this lighthouse which is the first time I've used it so very pleased about that. Anyway, I'm off to have dinner with my hubby who had a late shift today, I hope your Wednesday has gone well. Thanks for popping in...

Happy Birthday

Another card for my stamping Saturday..for this card, I have used the latest layout from Cardabilities and the colour combo from Color Throwdown. The background paper I made using Distress Inks and some stencils and the pink flowers I made using a flower punch and some pearls. I find it's always that bit more satisfying making your elements and actually using them...lol...
As always, thanks for popping by...

Shine Bright....

Happy Saturday Peeps! It is terribly hot here in Far North Oz! So my friend Robyn & I are locked away in my craft room with the Air Conditioner on...it's that bad we dread walking outside for whatever reason. Anyhoo...back to my card. Today I have made a special card for our neighbour who is 50 and having a party tonight to celebrate.

I have made an easel card for her, I don't make them too often but I felt it needed to be a bit extra special for a milestone birthday and I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities for my layout and I have just let my DP determine my colour combo.

I'm also really happy to be able to use my new stamp set Sparkle & Shine with matching die from WPlus9....I really love their stamps, they stamp so nice and I have been itching to use this set. I tell you this card has everything...well for me anyway as I gravitate to CAS cards. I not only have background stamping (the text) I've also added some texture paste that I coloured (this is huge for me lol) then layered with lace, leaves and flowers, it's just all happening. lol. Well I'm off to make an envelope for my card, hope your weekend is off to a great start, until next time....happy stamping.

Love U Always

I/We don't really do Valentines Day but if I'm organised enough every now and again I get hubby a little something even if it's just a card....so I guess this year he will at least be getting a card. I really like the latest layout over at Cardabilities but then again I usually do <grin> and as it had hearts on it I thought I would make it for my beloved and luckily Just Add Ink had a great colour combo that would suit a male Valentine Card....so here is my card! I haven't really 'blinged' it up as even though it is a male card he likes things to be minimal even though I had to fight the urge to add more...lol...
Well I'm off to surf for another challenge, thanks for popping in.

Heartfelt Wishes

I made this card the other day but have only now had a chance to post it. I've joined in with the latest challenge at Cardabilities and I just loved Cibele's card (here) so used it for inspiration. I also used Pals Paper Arts colour challenge #234 but missed posting it in time. I have a friend turning 50 next month and she loves these colours so it worked out well. Thanks for stopping by....

Merry Christmas...Holly Branch

Well I don't know where this card came from...I was packing up for the day when I had a look at the latest Cardabilities challenge and straight away I was hooked...I just had to make it! Since I had my layout decided I now had to pick a colour combo and Just Add Ink was perfect so out came the DI's to make my background. I wanted to hang a bauble off my branch but I can never get it to look good and this time was no different and since I haven't used my flowers for a while, I grabbed them and added some Christmas bells. Now I am packing up for the day, have a great weekend and hopefully you will get a bit of craft time in amongst it.

Sending Hugs Your Way

I've finally been able to post my card...yippee!!...damn internet!!...an ongoing saga in our house. Anyway, I have chosen to play along with Cardabilities using their latest sketch and the latest colour combo from the new Time Out Challenges to help create my card. Also over at The Shabby Tea Room they want wheels, pink flowers & texture and I've had this lady on a scooter and those tiny little flowers floating around my desk for a long time now so it's good to finally get to use them, I knew they would come in handy one day...hehe....
Well, I'm off to do some chores as I have been out with the hubby all morning visiting an injured friend and then going out to lunch together. We regularly go out to lunch when we can because he is a shift worker who works away which I also work out of town too and we haven't had dinner together since last Sunday. So now I have to catch up on my house work or it won't get done until next weekend as it just doesn't happen through the week for me. I hope you're having a great weekend...until next time, happy stamping.

Best Wishes

This is my last card for the day...I have to go and start getting organised for a good friends 50th. For this card I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities, the latest colour combo from Colour Me and over at CASology they want Flowers. I actually made my background paper and the pink flowers I have used. I actually have to make some more of those little flowers as I've run out. I hope you are having a relaxing start to your weekend and until next time...happy stamping.

Floral Happy Birthday

Another card made for a mini stamp camp...this one is the complete opposite to my last card which was CAS. For this card I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities...as always, another lovely sketch and over at Seize the Birthday they want flowers, love flowers. Then, using the latest colour combo from Colour Q, I wanted to go with DP I don't usually gravitate to and I struggled.....lol....I really like these papers (obviously since I bought them) but I find them hard to work with and I find it hard to combine multiple DP's but in the end, I am really happy with how it turned out. Well I'm off to do some blog surfing and find another challenge. Thanks for popping in...

Gorgeous...

Here is my last card for the day...I am really happy with this card and I have earmarked it for my beautiful daughters birthday for when she turns 17 later in the year. As I said in a previous post, I really like the new Cardabilities  sketch and now I have made a male card and a female card for this sketch and since I'm on holidays, I'm actually able to play along with Dynamic Duo's. I really like playing along with the Dynamic Duo's  challenges but as I really only get Saturday to stamp their challenges are usually closed by the time I get to sit at my craft desk...but I'm here now and making the most of it. Well, I'm off but if everything goes according to plan I will be back tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by...

Take time to Celebrate

Well, I'm back with my last card for my Stamping Saturday and there is a story to it...I absolutely LOVE the new Cardabilities sketch and I started out making a card nothing like how it turned out to be. It was going to be soft and feminine...there is even soft pink sprayed on this card....but as it evolved it ended  up being a male card. Now this isn't a bad thing but I really wanted to make a nice pretty feminine card so I'm going to have to make another one!! LOL!! With all that aside, I am really happy how this turned out, lets hope the next one is as nice. Make sure you pop on over and check out the stunning cards that have been posted already and wishing you all the best for Easter...whatever  you are doing....

Have a wonderful day...

Well I'm on a bit of a roll today, this is my third card and after saying in my last post I'm liking 'quick & easy' here I am with a not so 'quick & easy' card. My friend Robyn told me to have a look at the latest sketch from the team at Cardabilities....and I was sold!! I haven't made a card with my little flowers on it for a while so I was happy to play along. For my colour combo I have taken up the challenge from Inspired by Stamping's by using their third colour combo. The embossing folder I used is a favourite so it felt good to using it again too. Make sure you pop on over and check out the challenges and  thanks for stopping in.
