Birthday Candles

I had a stenciling day with my Distress Oxides a few weeks ago so I have been working through them and making cards out of the backgrounds. This stencil reminded me of candles which is why there is a birthday cake on it.

Birthday Cheers

I created today's card by stenciling my background with Distress Oxides : Broken China, Salvage Patina & Scattered Straw. I then found, printed and fussy cut an image off the internet, then die cut a panel out of the stenciling, worked out my sentiment placement, stamped and adhered all my layers. I also foam mounted the image to give it a bit of interest.
