Gilded Birthday

Today's card was inspired by Christine Stokes, I have been watching her You Tube Tutorials see here where she uses gilding flakes a lot. I have had some in my craft room for a very long time but have rarely used them, Chrissie has inspired me to get them out and to play with them.
I have kept the card very CAS as I believe the gilding flakes are the feature, to be honest the photo doesn't do it justice.

Congrats with Wine and Sparkle

Today's card was created for our nephew and his fiancé who have gotten engaged. I stamped my image and then arranged my letters around the image before die cutting them. I then backed it with glitter cardstock and lightly coloured the wine and bubbles before attaching it with mounting tape.

Christmas Poinsettia

For today's card, I stamped my poinsettia and watercoloured it with DI Festive Berries. Once dry, I then splotched it into some watered down DI Lucky Clover. I then fussy cut it and dry embossed my top panel then framed it with some gold card. Once I had attached my layers, I then die cut my sentiment twice with white card and once with gold, adhered my layers, and attached it to my card.

Bubble Background

I created today's card by using the 'bubble technique' that I saw on Christine Stokes You Tube Tutorial which you can find here. It is a very soft background so I think I will have to add some more ink next time to bring out some more colour. Once the background was dry, I splattered some ink, then I stamped my image, coloured the outlined flowers with Copics, added some 'glass glue' and glitter for dimension and sparkle and layered it onto matching coloured card stock. I then pop dotted my panel and added my sentiment to finish it all off.

Magic of Christmas

An easy card today, to create today's card, I started off with making a watercolour background with Distress Inks. Once the background was dry, I die cut my panel and stamped my Santa image. I then adhered it to my base, stamped a sentiment, trimmed it down and adhered it with some foam tape.

Sunflower Birthday

Today's card was created by using Distress Inks to create a water colour background. Once dry, I stamped my large Sunflower stamp and die cut out the portion I wanted to use. I coloured the flower petals with a bright yellow Copic marker to highlight the petals a bit more and then framed the panel with soft green cardstock. To finish off, I die cut my sentiment three times and stacked them to give it some height and then added some glass finish glue to make it shine.

Watercolour Birthday

Today, I started by using my Brusho's to create my background on watercolour cardstock. I then 'inked' my orchid stamp by colouring it with Tombow Markers. I spritzed the stamp and placed my panel over the stamp and rubbed it firmly to ensure I picked up all the ink. Once dried, I then stamped my sentiment and added a sub-sentiment under neath for some added interest. I finished it off by adding it to some coordinating coloured card stock.

Blue Sailing

For today's card, I dug out my Brusho's that I haven't used in a while. I sprinkled some Cobalt Blue on and activated it with water. Once dry, I cut out a panel and stamped my sailing boat and sentiment. I then layered it onto some matching coloured card and adhered it to my base card. A simple card, but one I really like.

Christmas Lights

I created today's card by ink smooshing my background. Once dry, I then stamped my Christmas Lights top and bottom, coloured the globes with Copic markers and added some glass finish glue to give them a glassy look. I then die cut my greeting in white and it's shadow in purple and adhered it to the middle of my panel.

Pastel Rainbow

Today's card has a soft pastel rainbow background that I created with my funky circle stencil. I then die cut my 'happy' sentiment twice, once with white scrap and once with holographic card that was used for the top layer. After working out my positions, I then stamped my birthday sentiment. I also die cut my panels with a stitched die and put them all together. To finish off, I stamped and fussy cut some funky flowers and added a bit of glass finish glue and a sprinkle of glitter to give them a shine.

HB2U

I have made today's card for our son. I have used a piece of card that I created using my Gelly Plate, Distress Inks and Stencils. I die cut out the section I wanted and then die cut my 'HB2U' sentiment 3 times and adhered them together for height. Before attaching the third sentiment, I embossed it to give it a little something more and I also added a sub-sentiment to finish it off.

I heard today...

I created today's background by using my Gel Plate with Distress Inks, a stencil and some ink splatters. Once dry, I cut down the panel and stamped my large sentiment and image. I also added a sub sentiment strip for some added interest. As this is for a male friend, I have left it as is with a bit of a grunge feel to it.

Let's Celebrate You

Today's card was created with the off cut of my previous card. I stamped my large sentiment onto the off cut and used Clear EP to heat emboss it, die cut my sunflower twice and adhered them together, added a few highlights to the petal with Copic Markers and then layered it all to my base. I then added a few yellow acrylic dots for a bit of added interest.

Holographic Birthday

I created today's card by splotching my background card in watered down DI's Broken China, Mustard Seed & Villainous Potion and I dried my card off between each colour so I didn't get mud. I then die cut my floral background with a Sizzix cover plate die twice and adhered them together to give them some height and attached them to my watercolour base. I die cut my 'happy' sentiment twice with white scrap card and once with holographic card and adhered the layers together. I then stamped my 'birthday' sentiment with black ink and heat embossed it with clear EP. Once I worked out my placement, I attached them to the panel and added a couple of pearls for added interest.

Hearty Happy Birthday

Today's card was created by using the left over die cut panel from a previous card I had made. This time, I left the hearts empty except for the largest one, where I die cut some white card three times and adhered them together before popping it into it's location on the panel. I then die cut my 'happy' three times and adhered them together as well for more dimension and added my 'birthday' sub-sentiment by stamping it on black cardstock and embossing it with white EP. I then framed the whole panel with black cardstock and adhered it to my base.

Beary Pretty

Today's card is a lot different for me...I don't really do 'cute' and I'm not very good at colouring but I am very happy with how today's card turned out. I placed my stamp in my Misti and stamped my image with DI Antique Linen and water coloured the image. Once I was finished colouring, I then restamped the image with black ink. I also sponged the sky with what left over ink was still on my blending brush from when I had used it last and added my sentiment. I then die cut several panels and layered them on my card front. I also sponged the edges of the base card with left over ink on my purple blending brush as well.

Sending Hugs

I created today's card by inking rainbow colours with DO's : Wilted Violet, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin & Candied Apple. I then die cut my hearts die on white card as well as the inked rainbow card. I adhered the white hearts to the coloured ones to give them a bit more height and then adhered them back into the white card panel. I then attached them to the card base, die cut my sentiment 'sending hugs' twice with white scrap card and once with black card, adhered them together and secured it to the card front, I also added a sub-sentiment to finish it off.

Fabulous Day

For today's card, I created my feature panel by using my Gel Plate to create the blue background and a floral stencil that I then coloured with DI's. I started off with a large piece of card and stenciled it using a rainbow pattern, then die cutting it into four and picking my favourite piece, I then ran it through a background die for a little more interest. I die cut my flower two times with thick cardstock and adhered them together for some extra height, worked out my placement and then stamped my sentiment. I then layered the main panel onto some mulberry coloured card and adhered them all together.

Birthday Cheer

I created today's feature panel with my Gel Plate and Distress Inks. It has been sitting on my desk for a while so I can't remember what colours I used but I'm thinking maybe Mowed Lawn & Mustard Seed.
I then die cut a square out with a stitched edge square die. I positioned it and die cut some flowers twice in white cardstock and layered them for a bit of dimension. To finish off, I stamped my sentiment and layered the panel onto some black card for a bit of contrast then attached to it to my base. I added a small gel gem for a little something more.

Birthday Floral

Another floral card for my stamping Saturday...this time I have used a stencil and a new sentiment. I inked my florals using Distress Oxides Inks and blending brushes and once the ink was dry, I added a few highlights with some Copic Markers. I then trimmed my image down and layered it on some DP and white card that I embossed with a Cover Die for added interest. I then pop-dotted the whole panel and added my sentiment and a few gems to finish off.

One More Trip Around the Sun

Happy New Year!

My first card for 2022 that wasn't a Christmas card...I keep making Christmas cards while I am still in the mood, it gives me a head start for next Christmas.

Todays card, I have used new stamps from the 2021 Stamptember, Sunflower Garden & XL Birthday Greetings. I stamped the Sunflower image in black ink and then clear embossed it. I then used some Distress Oxides : Broken China & Wild Honey that was watered down so I could colour my image with a watercolour look by dabbing different areas of the image into the ink and drying between dabs. Once dry, I stamped my sentiment in black and clear embossed it to make it pop. I then layered it on some DP from my mountain of DP that I really need to use and also used a cover plate to give my white layer a bit more interest.
