Floral Wreath

Today's card was inspired by several Chrissie Stokes tutorials view here. My background feature was created by using my 'Gelli Plate'. I selected the part I wanted to use and then stamped some script on it and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then cut a window that would fit my floral wreath and adhered the wreath around the aperture. I die cut my sentiment from gold card and added a couple of white butterflies then layered my panel onto the same gold card I used for the sentiment.

HB2U

I have made today's card for our son. I have used a piece of card that I created using my Gelly Plate, Distress Inks and Stencils. I die cut out the section I wanted and then die cut my 'HB2U' sentiment 3 times and adhered them together for height. Before attaching the third sentiment, I embossed it to give it a little something more and I also added a sub-sentiment to finish it off.

Birthday Cheer

I created today's feature panel with my Gel Plate and Distress Inks. It has been sitting on my desk for a while so I can't remember what colours I used but I'm thinking maybe Mowed Lawn & Mustard Seed.
I then die cut a square out with a stitched edge square die. I positioned it and die cut some flowers twice in white cardstock and layered them for a bit of dimension. To finish off, I stamped my sentiment and layered the panel onto some black card for a bit of contrast then attached to it to my base. I added a small gel gem for a little something more.

One More Trip Around the Sun

Happy New Year!

My first card for 2022 that wasn't a Christmas card...I keep making Christmas cards while I am still in the mood, it gives me a head start for next Christmas.

Todays card, I have used new stamps from the 2021 Stamptember, Sunflower Garden & XL Birthday Greetings. I stamped the Sunflower image in black ink and then clear embossed it. I then used some Distress Oxides : Broken China & Wild Honey that was watered down so I could colour my image with a watercolour look by dabbing different areas of the image into the ink and drying between dabs. Once dry, I stamped my sentiment in black and clear embossed it to make it pop. I then layered it on some DP from my mountain of DP that I really need to use and also used a cover plate to give my white layer a bit more interest.

Lots of Love

I am having some serious issues with Blogger today! I don't know about everyone else but I do not like the changes they have made...arrrgh!!
Anyway, back on topic, my card has been in the making for a couple of weeks as it wasn't coming together for me. I created my background with DO's, die cut my circle frame and adhered it to the my panel. I then used my Misti to stamp half of my sentiment and then die cut the rest of my sentiment 3 times and glued them together for height. This is the first time that I have done that and I must admit I like the effect.

Skater Dude

I have a lot of birthdays in June and this one I have made for our son who likes to skateboard. I got the image off the internet, printed and fussy cut it, created a watercolour background with DI's, stamped my sentiment and framed with black cardstock.

Yellow Florals

I saw Erin Thompson's card online and just had to case it, check it out here. I loved the monochromatic background and then the lovely pop of colour in the flowers. I love yellow but it's not a colour I use a lot which made me have a go at making this card. Watercoloured my background with DO's then coloured my flowers with an assortment of yellow Copics.

One of a Kind Fabulous Day

.

Today's card is definitely out of my comfort zone. I saw Jayne Nelson's card on pinterest and I thought it would work in perfectly for a card for our daughter's 21st birthday. She has a bit of a 'leaf' thing happening on her invitations and pinks are becoming a bit of a theme with her cake and dress.
I stamped my leaves around the exterior, stamped my flamingo stamp and coloured him in with DI, fussy cut him and pop dotted him on then added my sentiment and pearls to finish off.

Again, I have used a masterboard that I had laying around that I mounted on coloured card. For this card, I also got to use another new die,(the flowers) and a new stamp from a stamp set that I got for Christmas....loving using my new things! 😊

Happy Birthday...21 today!

Hello Stampers! Well it's been a while since I have posted on my blog but as we know it's been the 'silly season' where life just gets so hectic. In saying that, for me it was hectic leading up to Christmas but then it all came to a halt! We had a quiet Christmas with family and a very quiet New Year. DH had to work and DD - 19 & DS -20 went out with their friends to bring the new year in, so I ended up home alone...I could have gone to the neighbours but I just couldn't get motivated so actually happily stayed home and did a movie marathon, something that is a first for me. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and had fun bringing in the New Year and are all ready for a crafty 2017.
I made this card for DD's boyfriend who has just turned 21 and I got to use a new die, one of my Christmas presents to make it. I had the masterboard laying around and thought it looked good with die cut out in black. So I framed it in black, stamped the 21 and wrote today! on it by hand (something I really don't like doing) and mounted it on another die to finish it off. He liked it and made a point of telling me he really liked the card so I am very pleased.
I'm posting my card to....

Floral Happy Birthday

Another card made for a mini stamp camp...this one is the complete opposite to my last card which was CAS. For this card I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities...as always, another lovely sketch and over at Seize the Birthday they want flowers, love flowers. Then, using the latest colour combo from Colour Q, I wanted to go with DP I don't usually gravitate to and I struggled.....lol....I really like these papers (obviously since I bought them) but I find them hard to work with and I find it hard to combine multiple DP's but in the end, I am really happy with how it turned out. Well I'm off to do some blog surfing and find another challenge. Thanks for popping in...

Happy Birthday

Hi All, I got my inspiration for today's card from Pinterest. Karen had made a beautiful card that I just had to case...check it out here, thanks for the inspiration Karen. I just love how Karen's card is so soft a pretty and I'm sure you will agree. Over at Simply Create Too they are shopping their stash which I have definitely done. I have used a favourite 'Happy Birthday' stamp from Stamp it...it's so old and well loved that it didn't stamp quite right (should of done a practice stamp first), I've used the last of my thin white ribbon, a favourite 'background' stamp from Kaiser Craft and the flowers are out of my favourite Stampin' Up stamp set 'Heartfelt Thanks', oops nearly forgot also my frame is a scrap of coloured card to finish it off. It's always a good feeling to use the bits and pieces up that you have laying around. I'm also adding my card to Seize the Birthday where there is an 'Anything Goes' birthday Linky Party happening...make sure you check both blogs out and join in the fun. Well, I'm off to surf a bit and find another challenge....as always, thanks for stopping by.
