Wish Big

Finished my housework so snuck into my craft room for a play. I had this background card laying around in my stash that I had made previously with DO's and bubble wrap. I trimmed it down and added the bird stamp that I love but hardly ever use...why is that?? Stamped the birds and my sentiment then added a second sentiment to sort of make this a birthday card. I only really 'do' Birthday or Christmas cards so I wanted to be able to use it for a birthday. I then framed the panel with a soft grey card to give it a bit more substance and attached it to the base card.

Happy Happy Birthday

For today's card I used a large 'happy' die that I struggle with. I die cut it then added DP underneath. I used a sentiment from Altenew 'Label of Love' to sit over the large 'happy' and added some little flowers and leaves plus enamel dots for some added interest.

One of a Kind

Well I have finally stepped into the 'slimline' craze and made my first card. I saw a card created by Korin Sutherland that gave me inspiration for today's card. As I said to Korin...I like sunflowers but I don't seem to like sunflower stamps...go figure...but I really liked Korin's sunflower card so I dug out my one and only sunflower stamp that I had been given and used it for the first time.

Celebrate You

Today I have cased a card from a Jennifer McGuire youtube tutorial using white ink, sadly my white ink isn't white anymore so I used yellow ink. I sponged my background with DO Fossilized Amber then stamped my sentiment below where my butterfly was going and stamped tiny flowers in a soft yellow ink. I pop dotted my butterfly after adding a bit of glitter to it and finished the card off with jewels in the center of the flowers.

Lots of Love

I am having some serious issues with Blogger today! I don't know about everyone else but I do not like the changes they have made...arrrgh!!
Anyway, back on topic, my card has been in the making for a couple of weeks as it wasn't coming together for me. I created my background with DO's, die cut my circle frame and adhered it to the my panel. I then used my Misti to stamp half of my sentiment and then die cut the rest of my sentiment 3 times and glued them together for height. This is the first time that I have done that and I must admit I like the effect.

Floral Greys

For today's card, I stamped my floral images and then heat embossed with white EP. I watercoloured my flowers & leaves with DO's : Hickory Smoke, Mowed Lawn and Vintage Photo. Die cut my 'happy' and cut it down to fit then stamped my 'birthday', coloured and pop dotted it onto the card front and added some sequins to finish off.

Fabulous Day

My last creation for the day...I cased a card created by Yana Smakula see here. I am not a very good colourist so thought I would give this ago as it didn't need blending. I'm quite pleased with the end result and really like the colours.

Watercolour Florals

I created todays background with textured Watercolour Card, DO's Peeled Paint & Fossilised Amber and gave it a watercolour wash. I then stamped my flowers and added a bit more Fossilised Amber wash to the petals. Stamped part of my sentiment on the background, then pop dotted the rest on some white card and added sequins for some added interest. I layered the image onto a similar green card and pop dotted it to the base to complete.

Bridge Scenery

I created today's card by stamping my image, sponging a coordinating DO colour for the trees, water and sky and then colouring certain areas with Copics to highlight. I stamped my sentiment then ran around the edges with DO Walnut Stain and mounted.
