Love U Always

I/We don't really do Valentines Day but if I'm organised enough every now and again I get hubby a little something even if it's just a card....so I guess this year he will at least be getting a card. I really like the latest layout over at Cardabilities but then again I usually do <grin> and as it had hearts on it I thought I would make it for my beloved and luckily Just Add Ink had a great colour combo that would suit a male Valentine Card....so here is my card! I haven't really 'blinged' it up as even though it is a male card he likes things to be minimal even though I had to fight the urge to add more...lol...

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder Tag

Well I struggled with this tag...started another one but had to to bin it....lol...it just wasn't working. We're up to the letter B in our ABC Tag Challenge so something starting with B had to be your theme and I chose Beauty which meant I wanted soft colours.

And soft colours means flowers...hehe....love my flowers. I had created this background with DI's previously so I cut a tag out of that which then influenced what colours I was going to use.

I also had to print my text as I didn't have a stamp with the saying I wanted to use. I then created a 'mirror' for the 'beauty' and dressed it up with flowers and flourishes and coloured my ribbon with DI's.

Burning Rubber...

 For today's card I'm playing along with the latest challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch. It's a great sketch with so many options....as always my first thoughts are flowers and such but I made myself take a step back and think differently, so I've ended up with a male card. I used to struggle with male cards but am now finding them much easier to make even if I do lean towards black a lot. Which is why my car has been stamped onto some previously made DI background paper. Thanks for stopping in...

Alice in Wonderland Tag

 Well this is my first time in a tag challenge and this is my Tag!

 I have combined this months Tim Holtz Challenge '12 Tags of 2015' by using his layout and a challenge created by my friend Robyn. She has put it out to all her crafty mates to play along and we are using the alphabet as our theme...so naturally the first one is A.

  I was racking my brains as to what I could do for A other than the obvious...A is for Apple...lol and came up with Alice in Wonderland. This is not really a favourite story of mine but that's what it's all about, stepping outside your comfort zone. I'm actually really happy with the end result as I have had to improvise a lot as I don't have much of Tim Holtz's 'stuff' but I do love what he makes. Heartfelt Wishes

 I made this card the other day but have only now had a chance to post it. I've joined in with the latest challenge at Cardabilities and I just loved Cibele's card (here) so used it for inspiration. I also used Pals Paper Arts colour challenge #234 but missed posting it in time. I have a friend turning 50 next month and she loves these colours so it worked out well. Dainty Floral Birthday Card

 Well this is my last post and one of my favourites that I have made over the last few days. I got the inspiration for this card from a card made by the Inspired by Stamping team. I didn't have any stamps like the ones used but I created a similar card with what I did have.I love the end result even though it took a couple of goes to get the flowers right lol.

Stepping out for Christmas!

I just love Shirley-bee's style and I saw a Christmas card she had made that I just had to case.I have this stamp that I love and after seeing Shirley's I knew she would be perfect to make this card.

So I'm off and running with 6 Christmas cards in my stash already...unbelievable!! Thanks for the inspiration Shirley...love your style!

Christmas...

 I think I sound a bit weird...well to me anyway...saying that I have already made some cards for Christmas 2015! But after seeing Yana's cards I just had to case them. Yana is guest designer over at Altenew and has made some cards using their stamps. I just love CAS and I love CAS even more when it comes to Christmas cards and Yana's cards really caught me eye.

 

So here are my creations using Yana's cards for inspiration and I just love them! Thanks for the inspiration Yana!!

Anchor

 Happy New Year to all!! I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and brought the new year in with a bang. Both of ours were quiet but nice and I have been enjoying my leave by not doing too much at all. Sadly I am back to work on Monday but until then I am making the most out of them.

This isn't my first card for the new year but it's my first one to enter into a challenge.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday have this sketch for their latest challenge and it was a challenge for me! I struggled 

a bit with the blocks but persisted.

  Last week I had a play day with a friend where we made some 'Masterboards' (just found this name out and I think they qualify lol). We had a day playing with our distress inks and stencils. The zig zag card is one of those creations. So I've cut it up and layered it on some black card and embossed green card, then added some new die cut sentiments I picked up late last year.My card felt like it suited a 'male' recipient so I added an anchor to spruce it up a bit.
