Well, I think this will be my last card for the day....another floral one, I seem to be into flowers today. For this card I have taken up the challenge from Unscripted Sketches. This embossing folder was made for this sketch and I'm really pleased as I'm pretty sure I haven't used this folder until today. I hope your weekend is off to a good start and as always, thanks for stopping by....until next time, happy stamping.

Lattice Window
Another card for my stamping Saturday...it's very overcast here with showers coming through regularly from Cyclone Ita which crossed the coast about 600kms north of us last night. They say we will get winds and lots more rain from late today or tomorrow. I don't mind as we need rain around here and also out west where most of the state is drought stricken....as long as it doesn't become a danger to anyone, I think, bring it on!! Even though it wouldn't matter if it was raining or not...it makes it a good day to be in my craft room making cards. I saw this card on Pinterest from DownUnder Direct and had pinned it to my board to get around to 'casing' it one day...well that day is today. My good friend is having a major birthday next month so as the card evolved I thought it would be a nice card to celebrate a special birthday. I'm a bit of a sucker for soft pink and white which I seem to gravitate to when I'm looking for that something special look and I'm really loving how this turned out. Well, I'm off to do some surfing and see if there is anything else out there that grabs my eye. As always, thanks for popping in...
DownUnder Direct Inspirations
One has need of a friend...
Well, I'm back with a I card I have made using the latest sketch from the team at CAS(E) this Sketch and the latest challenge for Uniko Studio which is a colour challenge. I really like the tile effect although it can be time consuming getting them straight. I used my Tombow markers to 'ink' up my stamp then I used the markers and a paint brush to colour them in....I haven't done that for a while. Thanks for stopping by...

Uniko Studio Challenge #8
Framed Happy Birthday
Hi All, during my surfing late yesterday afternoon, I got some inspiration from a couple of cards that Bev of Uniko Studio had made. She has been making cards using some new stamps that are about to be released and I really liked the cards so I thought I would 'case' them and here they are....

The new stamps look amazing, so make sure you pop on over and check the stamps and the cards that Bev has made over at Uniko Studio and thanks for the inspiration Bev.

All Things Grow With Love..
Well it's very early Sunday morning here is Oz and I am filling in time while waiting for the daughter to get ready for work. We're not keen on these really early starts but then she is going to be out of a job in about 2 weeks when the business closes down...and you just do what you've gotta do.... anyway, I made this card late yesterday afternoon but by the time I actually had time to post it, I couldn't get motivated. I have used the latest sketch challenge from Annabelle Stamps and the stamp I have used is an actual Annabelle Stamp. I hadn't gotten around to using this stamp yet even though I had used others out of the set and one thing I must say, Annabelle Stamps, stamp beautifully, every time! I stamped the sunflower then colored it in with a paint brush, some water & my distress inks, this is one of my favourite ways of coloring at the moment, I love how soft it turns out.Well, that's me for the weekend (crafting wise), this morning I have some housework to do before we head out for a 1 year old's birthday party this afternoon. Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend until next time...happy stamping.

Dragonfly...
Another card for my very productive Stamping Saturday!! Over at Virginia's View they want a 'stencil theme' so I have pulled out one of only a couple of stencils that I have. I sprayed some watercolor card with spray inks then I sponged my stencil with distress ink and also sponged the edges with distress ink and my colours were chosen for the latest challenge over at Pals Paper Arts.

Honeycomb...birthday wishes...
I'm on a roll today...I'm posting my third card for the day!! Admittedly they have all be very CAS cards but that's ok... It's been a while since I played along at Feeling Sketchy and when I saw this weeks sketch I thought of the perfect stamp for it. This is a new stamp that I haven't had a chance to play with so I'm happy about that...and again I have used one of my new favourite inks, marigold which makes me think of the pattern as a honeycomb. I thought about putting a bee on it but decided to keep it very CAS as I had a male recipient in mind, I was actually going to go black and white but changed my mind at the last minute. Thanks for stopping in, hope your Saturday is going well....

Poinsettias...
So, I'm back with my second card for this weeks challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch and I've also taken up the challenge from Christmas Cards All Year Round where they want poinsettias on your card. I went with the standard red poinsettia but the ones that are just an outline I used two of my new favourite inks...one is orange (can't remember the exact name) and the other is marigold...I really like them especially the marigold. I have just 'lifted' the card with a bit of pearl bling and some holly. Thanks for popping in...

Our challenge this month is to create a card featuring poinsettias.
Splatter....
Well, it's Saturday and that means if all goes according to plan it will be a stamping Saturday and for once, life hasn't gotten in the way so I am happily stamping my Saturday away while skyping with my friend Robyn who lives about 900 kms away. For this card I have used the latest sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch...it really caught my eye and as I have some reasonably new 'splatter' stamps I knew I had to play along and I already have a thought to make some more in a Christmas theme as I like nice and easy for my Christmas cards. But back to this card...I have also taken up the challenge from Color Throwdown and used their latest colour combo, it is such a great pic they have chosen as their prompt too so make sure you pop on over and check it out...too cute. Well, I'm off to make a few more of these cards..thanks for stopping by...

1st Birthday
Another afternoon where I have been able to sneak out to my Craft Room for some playtime...yippee!! We are going to a little boys 1st birthday party on Sunday so a 1 year old's card was on my list of to do's this weekend and I am off to a flying start with it already done.. The little penguin stamp is a new one so I'm pleased to have been able to use it already. I also had some bright DP that my friend gave me a while back so I was able to delve into that collection too...always a good feeling...and for my design I have taken up the latest sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. Make sure you pop on over and check it out. Hope you have had a great week and as always, thanks for stopping by....

Merry Christmas...
Well it's not very often that I make a card during the week but I had a bit of free time over the last couple of afternoons so I snuck into my craft room for a bit of down time. For this card I have used the latest design from Retro Sketches and made another Christmas Card for my growing stash which is always a good feeling. I hope your week is going well and that you have a great weekend planned buy the looks at the moment mine is going to be a busy one. Until next time, happy stamping and thanks for popping by.

WOYWW 252
Hi All, well it's Wednesday and I have been able to join in with What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and the most exciting thing is that this is the second week in a row that I have been able to play along....woohoo!! On my desk this week is a card I have been working on for the latest Retro Sketch challenge.
For this card I have decided to make it in a Christmas theme so I can add it to my growing Christmas Card stash. This is such a good feeling, knowing that it is not going to be a mad rush in November, I don't know why it's taken me this long to do this.
Anyway...here is the finished product.
If you are wondering why I'm showing you what's on my work desk...pop on over to Julia's blog where you can check our desks from all over the world...or maybe even join in! Hope your 'hump day' is going well and it rolls on smoothly into an awesome weekend. Until next time...thanks for visiting.
