This weeks theme for Our Beautiful World is Celebration. My photo is from our Australia Day celebrations that we celebrate on the 26th January.Every year we try to have a day with family and friends where we get together and appreciate our life in our beautiful country. Each year I have noticed there are more and more things available to dress up your celebration and this year I had fun with them. With bunting around our pool fence, to a flag out the front of our house to plastic table clothes...paper plates...cups and napkins with the Australian flag printed all over them you knew it was Australia Day at our house.
Our Australian Flag flies 24/7 365 days a year!!
We have a game of backyard cricket & other games. Each year the games are different but over the last couple of years they have always included water bomb balloons and the games are not only for the kids...the big kids (adults) play too.In Australia, January is full on summer for us and in the tropics it can be very humid so a bit of water is always a fun way to help cool off a bit. After the games we settle in for food and drinks. Having a BBQ is very 'Australian' so that's what we had to finish off a fun day. Thanks for popping in...
Great photos and what a lovely celebration that must be ... I love your decorations ... Thanks so much for sharing with us at Our Beautiful World!!
