Happy Happy Birthday...

It seems to have be ages since I have made a card as I have been playing along with a journaling challenge so it was so nice to sit down and actually make one. I have made this with my sister in-law in mind who's birthday is coming up shortly which is why I have gone with soft pretty colours. I'm adding my creation to the latest CAS(E) this Sketch, I just love their layouts and they are always my first stop when looking for inspiration...thanks for popping by.

Floral Wishes

Birthday Splash

Today's card was inspired by a card Jacquie made that I had seen on Pinterest and it just so happens to go with this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches when you flip the layout. I just love the contrast of colour and the CAS style of this card. Thanks for the inspiration Jacquie.

Kookaburra Card

My hubby's birthday is tomorrow and he loves Australiana/Bush themes so when I saw this die, I knew it would be perfect for him. I have kept the card simple as he doesn't like 'busy' either, I just inked up a spotlight for the kookaburra and recut the die so that I could have a brown branch for him to sit on and finished it off with a sentiment and a couple of sequins (the girly thing kicked in lol). I'm posting my card to Uniko Studio challenge who want Masculine. Thanks for popping in....

Birthday Cocktails

A quick CAS card today...I have had this cocktail image for a while now and looked at it today and thought I shouldn't waste it and after seeing the latest sketch from the DT at CAS(E) this Sketch I knew it would work perfectly. I made the background with my trusty distress inks and then just layered the card and finished it off with some sequins. Thanks for popping in...

I saw the latest challenge at Muse and just had to play along...I really like the white banner going through an image, should do it more often! LOL! I also love CAS with lots of white space so this challenge was right up my alley. Thanks for the inspiration Anita.

Spotty Best Wishes

Another card for my stamping Saturday...for this card, I masked off the edges, sponged the panel with Shaded Lilac DI then stamped it with Wilted Violet DI. I die cut some flowers and added a sentiment and just finished it off with dots & dashes around the edges. I'm entering my creation to latest challenge at Feeling Sketchy. Thanks for stopping by...

MERRY.......christmas

Hi Peeps, well I don't seem to be making many cards of late as I have been playing along with a Journal challenge and a small ATC group but I have been bursting to play with more of my new dies that I got from Reverse Confetti...so this is one of the new christmas ones I got. For this card I'm playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch, Color Throwdown and ABC Christmas Challenge  which had the option of frills or no frills..as you can see, I went with no frills.

Celebrate You

For today's card, I made a background with my Distress Inks, die cut 'celebrate' and used my Misti to stamp the balloon and 'you'. I then used a contrast colour for my balloon and went around 'celebrate' with a fine tip black pen to give it a lift as well as running the edge of the background along my black ink pad. I'm entering my card into the latest challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch.
