Silent Night...

For this card I have used a gift given to me by a good friend for my birthday. You stamp your image using a glue mixture then sprinkle light foil over it and brush off the excess....it looks stunning! I have then masked the trees and made a 'moon' template and a template for the bottom to represent snow hills then inked the background with DI to create a rising moon. I am adding linking my card to Merry Monday who have a Silent Night theme this week. I didn't have a verse suited for this challenge so I have created it using my printer to finish it off. I hope you have had a lovely weekend, until next time, happy stamping.

Merry Christmas Banner

Hi All, well today is a good day....my good friend and fellow stamper is actually with me in my craft room stamping with me and not just skyping as we usually do on a Saturday! We have been playing and trying out some different techniques...some successful and some not! I will post a successful one shortly so stay tuned. For this card I have used the the photo inspiration from the DT at Festive Friday and I have also cased an amazing card by Susie Wittwer  check it out here thanks for the inspiration Susie. I really like this card and I love all the stamping because sometimes you can end up with not much stamping on a card these days with all the amazing toys you can get out in todays craft world. Anyway, I hope your Saturday is going well...I'll be back shortly with another post so pop on over if you have a moment.

Merry Christmas...Holly Branch

Well I don't know where this card came from...I was packing up for the day when I had a look at the latest Cardabilities challenge and straight away I was hooked...I just had to make it! Since I had my layout decided I now had to pick a colour combo and Just Add Ink was perfect so out came the DI's to make my background. I wanted to hang a bauble off my branch but I can never get it to look good and this time was no different and since I haven't used my flowers for a while, I grabbed them and added some Christmas bells. Now I am packing up for the day, have a great weekend and hopefully you will get a bit of craft time in amongst it.

Happy Birthday Vase

Well my good friend and regular Saturday/Skyping friend Robyn and I are off on 'multi colour / watercolour' tangent today. I was checking out Shirley-Bee's blog when I saw her latest creation and it is stunning to say the least!! Check it out here, so I threw a challenge to Robyn for us to have a go at this technique. Now I know mine doesn't really compare to Shirley's but you have to start somewhere. This card is actually my second attempt and I have used the latest colour theme from the DT at Colour ThrowdownAfter spritzing my stamp with water, my purple and yellow blended a bit so some of my flowers look a bit blue...oh well, that happens...lol

This is my first attempt at casing Shirley's card and I must admit, it looks a lot more like it should be. Pop on over and check out Robyn's cards here where she has actually done a freehand  one...way beyond my capabilities I do think but I will have a go none the less and a big thank you to Shirley for inspiring us to try something different. Until next time...happy stamping!

Peace on Earth

and another Christmas card for my stash...for this one I have taken up the challenge from The Card Concept where they want orange, black & white used as the colour combo...well I know that screams Halloween but we don't really do Halloween in Australia...some people do but I think it's really just a gimmick over here and not a tradition as it is in the US. So on that note...I used the colours but made a chrissie card with them. Again a new die used, as you can tell I had a bit of shop just recently lol
I think my card falls into the Clean & Graphic style after using such dominating Christmas baubles.
Well I'm off to do some more surfing and find a new challenge, hope you weekend is off to a great start and as always, thanks for popping in.

Neon Merry Christmas

Once again, it's been a while since I have played at my desk but here I am and I'm off and running. For this card I was able to use another one of my new die cuts. This time I have used a new Christmas tree and a funky 'merry' with a stamped 'Christmas' and I jazzed my tree up with some 'blingy' Christmas lights. I'm posting my card onto the latest Merry Monday where the DT would like you to use neon colours, pop on over and check it out. Think I might make another one of these as it's lovely and fresh and nice and easy to make...you can never have enough Christmas cards! Thanks for stopping by...

Joy...

I finished this card late yesterday but didn't get a chance to post it. I have used this die for the very first time and I love it! I must admit it is very fine so it makes it a bit of an issue to stick it down...I wonder how others do it. I used a spray adhesive which worked ok but you have to be careful not to spray too much so that means sometimes you miss bits. Does anyone have a better way?
Anyway...I have taken up the challenge from The Cutting Edge for my layout and I have used the latest colour combo from colourQ which has created a very pretty Christmas card to add to my stash.
Thanks for popping in...
