Friendship Orchid

I created today's card by colouring my stamp with Tombow markers and spritzing it with water before placing my water colour card on top. I used my Misti to refresh my colouring and to re-stamp the image until I was happy with the coverage. I did go back with a paint brush and added a bit of watered down Dusty Concord DI to the flowers a bit and I also splattered a bit of Black Soot DI over the front panel.

I then die cut the 'friend' sentiment in coordinating colours with a shadow die and stamped the 'hello' above my die cut. I then mounted it on black card and added a few clear sequins for added interest.

Birthday Banner

Today's card has been made for a little chap having a birthday soon. I sponged my background with DO's and stamped and fussy cut my plane and banner after colouring them with Copics. I also stamped, embossed and fussy cut some clouds. To finish it off I framed the scene with red card to make it pop.

Watercolour Florals

I created todays background with textured Watercolour Card, DO's Peeled Paint & Fossilised Amber and gave it a watercolour wash. I then stamped my flowers and added a bit more Fossilised Amber wash to the petals. Stamped part of my sentiment on the background, then pop dotted the rest on some white card and added sequins for some added interest. I layered the image onto a similar green card and pop dotted it to the base to complete.

It's all about the Foliage

I made a card a couple of weeks ago with foliage framing the sentiment and I really like the style as it's highlights the sentiment. This time, I have used Christmas foliage in different shades of green and finished it off with some red gems.

Someone Special Spotlight

For today's card I used the 'spotlight' technique. I stamped my images twice on different card stock then water coloured and layered the second card on top of the first image. I then added my sentiment and pop dotted the main layer.

Spotlight on Lillies

Hi All, I've been having one of those days today with our internet...it just kept dropping in and out...frustrating...so I'm only now getting a chance to post today's creations!! Anyway other than that, I have had a great day stamping with my good friend Robyn we haven't had a stamping day for a while now, so it was great to catch up and also have a play in my craft room. I made this card using the latest sketch from Just Add Ink and my second card using the spotlight technique. Thanks for popping in... 

Peace on Earth

For today's card I have used the spotlight technique...a technique I really like but rarely do. I also used the latest sketch from the DT at Just Add Ink for  my layout. I stamped my angel with grey and then spotlighted her with gold. I then added a die cut 'peace' in gold, framed the layer in gold as well to tie it all together and added 'on earth' from another stamp. Another Chrissy card for my collection...very happy. Heart Frame

Hello Fellow Crafty friends, I was able to spend most of my Saturday with my good friend Robyn who is in town at the moment which was the highlight of my weekend. For this stamping Saturday, I took up the challenge from the DT at Just Add Ink who had the photo inspiration below to work with and the latest sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday. I was also lucky enough to be able to use a new Happy Birthday stamp from Close to my Heart and Robyn's 'heart' dies. It's nice and CAS but I'm really happy with the end result. Hope you have all had a great weekend and thanks for popping in.

I/We don't really do Valentines Day but if I'm organised enough every now and again I get hubby a little something even if it's just a card....so I guess this year he will at least be getting a card. I really like the latest layout over at Cardabilities but then again I usually do <grin> and as it had hearts on it I thought I would make it for my beloved and luckily Just Add Ink had a great colour combo that would suit a male Valentine Card....so here is my card! I haven't really 'blinged' it up as even though it is a male card he likes things to be minimal even though I had to fight the urge to add more...lol...

Merry Christmas...Holly Branch

Well I don't know where this card came from...I was packing up for the day when I had a look at the latest Cardabilities challenge and straight away I was hooked...I just had to make it! Since I had my layout decided I now had to pick a colour combo and Just Add Ink was perfect so out came the DI's to make my background. I wanted to hang a bauble off my branch but I can never get it to look good and this time was no different and since I haven't used my flowers for a while, I grabbed them and added some Christmas bells. Now I am packing up for the day, have a great weekend and hopefully you will get a bit of craft time in amongst it.

  

Snowflakes...

A quick post this morning before I go to work...I made this card late Saturday but didn't get a chance to post it. Sparkles Christmas Challenge want Snowflakes so I have stamped some snowflakes and punched some snowflakes in the colours that Just Add Ink have in their latest challenge. I like simple Christmas cards because you have to make so many and this one is definitely simple...lol....Hope you all have a great week.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

I'm back with another Christmas card...this is great, if all goes according to plan, my lead up with Christmas will be stress free in regards to Christmas cards anyway..hehe

For this card I have joined in with the latest sketch from Just Add Ink and over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge they want a card inspired by a Christmas Carol/Song, so mine is based on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Well, I'm on a bit of a roll today but sadly I'll have to leave my craft desk and go and make dinner. This card has been made using the latest sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and the colour combo is from the DT at Just Add Ink. I have also made another card  shown below using a new die I got at the Craft Show that is in town this weekend and a stamp I got while on holidays. Christmas Snowflakes

I am so over my computer!! aaarrgghh!! I have been trying to upload this picture to my blog all day...finally it is ready to be posted...good luck with that too I've probably spoken too soon about that, it's not up yet!! lol

Anyway, I made this card yesterday using the latest challenge on Freshly Made Sketches and the DT at Just Add Ink want us to Just Add Snowflakes and as it so happens, just on Friday when I stopped at the craft store I picked up this very 'blingy' snowflake.
