Arty Floral Birthday

Another card inspired by Tracy Evans - Snippet #36. I am really enjoying casing her Snippets and then putting my spin on the design. If it's a snippet that I really like, I am then making another to create a card. The background image was stamped with DO's Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade & Lumberjack Plaid. Some small text and shapes were added to the background and then the flower was restamped and fussy cut then popped up for some dimension with a leafy extra added. Once I was happy with it all, I added some splatter, a sentiment and then mounted it on black card.

A Beautiful Day

For today's card I created a template with 3 windows cut out. I then masked the area around the windows to ensure the blended ink colours stayed in their space as well as the stamped images.
Layered it onto black card and added a small sentiment.

Beary Pretty

Today's card is a lot different for me...I don't really do 'cute' and I'm not very good at colouring but I am very happy with how today's card turned out. I placed my stamp in my Misti and stamped my image with DI Antique Linen and water coloured the image. Once I was finished colouring, I then restamped the image with black ink. I also sponged the sky with what left over ink was still on my blending brush from when I had used it last and added my sentiment. I then die cut several panels and layered them on my card front. I also sponged the edges of the base card with left over ink on my purple blending brush as well.

A Little Birdie Told Me...

I created today's card by using a new circle stencil and Distress Oxides : Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple & Rustic Wilderness to create a watercolour background. For each colour, I swiped the ink pad onto a plastic mat and spritzed with water then laid my stencil down and placed my card over the top. Each time, I dried the colour before doing it again or changing my ink colours. I continued to do this until I was happy with the background. I then stamped my little reindeer & bird, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. I die cut my 'Christmas' sentiment with a shadow die and stamped the 'merry' onto the panel with black ink. Once I was happy with the placements, I pop dotted my reindeer and die cut sentiment and layered the panel onto a matching base card.

Blue Mandela

I created today's card by sponging some DI Peacock Feathers onto the base of my card. I then inked my new stencil with DI Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Picket Fences. I die cut my sentiment 3 times, once with glitter card stock for the top layer and then stamped 'wishes' and my sub-sentiment onto a strip of white card and pop dotted it and the base card. I then added some clear sequins for added interest to finish off.

Penguin Present

I'm still making Christmas cards while I'm in the zone. Today's card I stamped and coloured my penguins with Copic markers. Die cut some DP to look like hills and a forest, then die cut my sentiment several times and layered to make it pop.

Joy to the World

I created today's card by blending DO's Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon & Salty Ocean. I then placed a stencil over the top and blended those colours again to give a subtle background. I then splattered some Perfect Pearls over the base to give it a little more interest. I die cut my layering Christmas Tree and sponged the inner layer lightly with DO Blueprint Sketch and then layered it onto silver glitter card stock. I also layered my base layer onto silver glitter card stock. Stamped my sentiment and popped up the sub sentiment on white card.

Hello There

Hi All, I felt like going tropical today, since I live in the tropics and had to make a 'zesty' card for a swap. I stamped my sentiment as a focal point, then my leaves in assorted DO greens. I stamped my flower in a bright pink and fussy cut it. Pop dotted it to my card then finished it all off with some green pearls.

Happy Birthday

I finished this card yesterday but haven't had a chance to post it until now...I made this card for a good friend who's birthday is this week and added a bit of black to it as she loves black. Again, I have used a masterboard that I made with assorted distress ink colours. I have had this card laying around for a while so I decided to use it as my background, which meant it influenced the colours I would use other than the black...love using bits of card that I tend to have laying around. I swiped the text panel with DI Antique Linen and stamped some script onto it with the same colour than mounted it on black. Added the little pennants under it, layered my flowers that I cut out in two different colours then mounted the Happy Birthday on top.

Funky Flowers

This card makes me smile as I am a '70's' girl and I just love the funky feel of this card. I have used the latest layout from CAS(E) this Sketch, the latest colour combo from colourQ and over at Allsorts they want flowers...always a favourite! I've had this stamp set for a while and had only used a couple of the sentiments from it so it just had to be these flowers when I saw the sketch. Thanks for popping by...

Live Well, Laugh Often..

Hi Stamping Friends, I have just finished a card that feels like it's taken all day to make....even so I am really happy with the end result. Once again, I have made my background using four of my distress inks. For this background I used Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar & Aged Mahogany. I then stamped a floral stamp randomly with Victorian Velvet then sprayed the card with Perfect Pearls Mist. I love how the mist just changes the whole look of the card. This layout is from Try Stamping On Tuesday and the colour combo is from Designer Seeds and was a challenge from my mate Robyn who sent me two combos that we are both going to use to make a card. I'm also adding my card to the challenges over at Alota Rubber Stamps  where they want 'ribbon/lace and at least one circle' and the challenge from Allsorts is a 'passion for flowers'. Well I'm off to find a layout for my next card...hope you are having a great Friday. Thanks for stopping by...

Have a beautiful day....

Hi All, today is Anzac Day in Australia where we remember our fallen soldiers. Lest we forget....
I have been lucky to score a 4 day weekend as Anzac Day is a public holiday and tomorrow I have taken a days leave to make it a long weekend for me...woohoo...and that means stamp, stamp, stamping and here is my first creation. Today I have made the background by using my 'Dried Marigold' Distress Ink which I then stamped with a background image using the same colour. I have then punched out some leaves, flowers and a butterfly for my image and added pearls. I am actually able to enter this card into 4 challenges (seems to be a theme of 4 today, lol)...I have used the layout from Inkspirational, for colour I have chosen the combo from Just Us Girls, Tuesday Throwdown want you to make your own background and over at Allsorts they have a passion for flowers. Thanks for stopping by...
