What's on your Work Desk Wednesday 217

Hi Fellow Bloggers, well another Wednesday and I am lucky enough to be sitting at my craft desk actually thinking about making a card. I have a few supplies out as I tackle the latest challenge over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. I am really in  a 'flower' space at the moment and when I am putting flowers on my cards that is when I'm the happiest. Make sure you pop on over to Julia's blog to find out what 'What's on your Work Desk Wednesday' is all about and I'm off to check out the other desks around the world, thanks for stopping by and happy crafting or happy whatever it is that does make you happy...

Just a little something...

I'm back with another card but I am really struggling today to make things work. This card looks so simple (and it is lol) but so many things just didn't work that it ended up being completely different to what I had planned. I actually made my own background paper with my distress inks but the stamping I did ruined it so I binned that, then I had a ship to put on but that didn't work so I binned that and this is what I ended up with. In saying that, I am actually really happy with the end result which helps because the DP is so pretty and does all the work for me, gotta love DP!!  I am posting this on the Fusion Card Challenge blog, this weeks challenge is great so make sure you pop on over to check it out.

Happy Birthday...

Happy Saturday stamping friends!! It is a beautiful day here in North Queensland after having a few overcast days. I really should be outside but lucky me has the house to myself with hubby, son & daughter at work so what better way to enjoy the quiet then to do some stamping. Well this card didn't really turn out quite like I pictured it but oh well, that happens. For design I have used the latest layout at CAS(E) this Sketch and over at CASE Study they want neon....I'm close....heehee. Thanks for popping in.

What's on your Work Desk Wednesday - WOYWW215

Hi Fellow Crafters, since my friend came across this blog I have wanted to be able to post on it but sadly I am usually at work and don't get the chance to do any crafting on a Wednesday but as it just so happened today, I got home from work to find hubby having a nap after his 12 hour shift that started at 3.30am this morning. So, my first thought was...off to my craft room I go and it wasn't until I was checking out my regular blog haunts that I realized it was actually WEDNESDAY!! Woohoo! So here is a photo of my work desk. You can see my work in progress for the card I have just posted and all the bits that end up laying around you as you work. Happy Wednesday crafters....hopefully I will be back on Saturday.

sending hugs your way..

Hi Stamping Friends, I have been able to sneak out to my craft room and have a bit of me time. It is very rare that I get to do any stamping through the week so this was a nice afternoon. I was also able to hook up with my mate Robyn who was at her craft desk too and skype while making my card. It was actually after talking to her that got my inspiration going. This is a very busy card, not really my style at the moment. I seemed to have moved to CAS for the minute. I don't know about you, but I tend to flip flop a bit with styles...I am really happy with how this card turned out and once again it has flowers on it...make no mistake, I am definitely in a 'flower' craze at the moment. Anyway, for this card I have used the latest Retro Sketches design and the colour inspiration has come from the challenge over at Inspired by Stamping.
I hope your week is going well, I'm off to watch the footy...Go Queensland!! Lets make it 8 in a ROW!!

Silhouette Flowers

Hi Crafty Friends, well I think this is last card for the day. I actually really like this card, it is very different for me. I bought a new Spellbinder yesterday that had two flower dies in it and this is the Astor flower. My fancy circle is one of my friends spellbinder dies. I really like it too so I think I will have to add it to the wish list. Anyway, back to my card...this is the latest layout over on Try Stampin' on Tuesday, make sure you pop on over and check it out. Well, I'm off, I hope you have a great weekend....until next time, happy stamping.

Floral Window

Well I'm back with another card...I struggled with this one for a while. I love cards with windows on them but I just can't seem to perfect it myself. In the end this came out better than I thought it would. The layout is over on CAS(E) this Sketch and the colour combo is from The Play Date Cafe...very nice colours. Thanks for stopping in.

Happy Birthday - Car

Hi Stampers, the last card I made last week was a black & grey male card and the first card I've made today is a black & grey male card...I see a theme...lol. My cousin's son turns 18 tomorrow and he is into cars so that's what I have gone with. This is the latest design over at Freshly Made Sketches, make sure you pop on over and have a look. Well I'm off to tackle another challenge, thanks for taking a peek.

Happy Birthday - male flourish

I made this card yesterday but didn't get a chance to post it. I had to make a card for a male friend of my daughters and I really like the latest challenge over on CAS(E) this Sketch so I thought I would go with it again for this card. I like black and grey together, I think it looks quite striking....lets hope the daughter likes it too or I'll be making another one...lol

Celebrate today and every day...

Well, here's my second card for the day...I am really happy with how this card turned out after a false start (didn't like the first attempt - less is more Vikki, less is more...). This layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch, colour combo is from The Play Date Cafe and dash of inspiration from the DT at CASE Study. Well I'm off to make another card using this layout as I have just remembered my daughter needs a 'male' card for a friends birthday that is coming up soon. Thanks for stopping by...
