Let's Celebrate Christmas

I created today's card by stamping my snowflakes with Watermark ink and then embossing them with White EP. I then blended the panel with Distress Inks - Broken China & Villainous Potion, trimmed it down and framed it with white card that I die cut using a Die Plate and then framed them both with a matching purple card. I die cut my shadow die with the same purple and the sentiment with white and layered it all together, then to finish it off, I added a sub-sentiment.

Joy to You and Yours

Today's card was created by using my Gelli Plate and Distress Inks to create the background. I cut the Gelli Plate panel down to size and stamped my main focal point sentiment which I then embossed with gold powder. I then punched some stars with shiny gold card and adhered them, stamped my sub sentiment and trimmed it down before adhering it as well. I also used a cover plate to give a bit more interest for my base card and drew around the edge with a gold Painty Zig Pen to finish it off.

From our Family to Yours

I created my background with my Gelli Plate, Distress Inks and a stencil. I then die cut my sentiment from the background and also die cut it three times with white card. I then layered the white card into the cut out and replaced the background die cut. I then added a few white stars and a sub-sentiment to finish it off.

Celebrate Today

I created today's card by die cutting my top panel and then inking a new stencil with rainbow coloured Distress Oxide inks : Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon & Wilted Violet. I then layered it onto a pink card stock and mounted it onto the base with foam tape. To finish off, I die cut the main sentiment several times and adhered them together for added dimension and made the top layer pink glitter card, I then added a sub sentiment below.

Joy

Today I was able to make two cards out of one image. My earlier post tells you how I created a card with a die cut and my Gelli Plate, well this card is the die cut that has now been coloured by the Gelli Plate. There isn't any stamping on this card, but that happens occasionally. As I already had my image coloured, I cut a white panel down to size and layered it onto some matching designer paper. I have so much designer paper that I hardly use anymore, that it makes me happy when I can make a card with it.
I then die cut my sentiment 4 times and adhered them together before attaching to the base. To finish off, I added some soft green coloured gems.

Christmas in the Heart

I created today's card after being inspired by a card made by Karen Dunbrook at Snippets where she used a Gelli Plate and a stencil to create a background image. I didn't have a Christmas stencil but I did have some dies, so I cut out an image that I wanted to use from heavy cardstock and off I went. I swiped DI Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber and then brayered the colours to blend. I then laid my die cut image down on the Gelli Plate and then added my panel. I brayered the panel very well to ensure the ink was transferred onto the card and around my die cut. I then lifted my panel to reveal the above. I stamped my sentiment and clear embossed it and then flicked the panel with some watered down Peacock Feathers. I also punched out some tiny stars and added them for a bit more interest before attaching it to my base.

Christmas Cheer

I have had this piece of card with a hot foil border sitting on my desk for ages so today I thought I need to use this! So I trimmed a piece of gold card to frame it, picked a suitable sentiment and stamped, coloured and fussy cut the little penguin which I popped up on mounting tape for some added dimension. I love the simplicity of this card and the white space, hope you do too.

HB2U

Meet today's card...I have been trying to use up some of the huge pile of designer paper that I have on hand and never really use anymore. So today, as I'm a bit of a 70's girl and love this funky style paper which I didn't want to cover up, I decided to die cut HB2U to be the focal point and offset them so that the purple card would give a shadow effect. I then layered the purple card and originally was making the base pink card but after getting some ink in the wrong place (you can still see a bit on the purple card, I trimmed the pink down and layered it onto some cream card. I actually think it looks better then it did before so happy days. For some added interest, I added some glitter dots to the center of the flowers.

A Little Birdie Told Me...

I created today's card by using a new circle stencil and Distress Oxides : Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple & Rustic Wilderness to create a watercolour background. For each colour, I swiped the ink pad onto a plastic mat and spritzed with water then laid my stencil down and placed my card over the top. Each time, I dried the colour before doing it again or changing my ink colours. I continued to do this until I was happy with the background. I then stamped my little reindeer & bird, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. I die cut my 'Christmas' sentiment with a shadow die and stamped the 'merry' onto the panel with black ink. Once I was happy with the placements, I pop dotted my reindeer and die cut sentiment and layered the panel onto a matching base card.

Hello...Thinking of You

I created today's card by using DO Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet and a new stencil to create a watercolour background. I swiped each colour separately onto a plastic mat and spritzed water and mixed it with the ink. Every time I placed my card into the ink/water mix, I dried it before doing it again. Once I was happy with the look, I removed my stencil and used a rectangle die to cut out my panel. I then stamped a silhouette floral off to one side and added my sentiment. The 'hello' sentiment was die cut twice to give it a bit of dimension and I trimmed down a sub-sentiment and adhered it with foam tape. To finish off, I adhered my panel to a purple card base.

Beautiful Day

I stamped my florals and coloured them with copic markers. I then used a die cut border and cut it down to the size I wanted. I also cut another white layer down using the next size up die. Before layering, I stamped 'wishing you' and embossed in clear then stamped the rest of my sentiment onto a white strip. Layered it all together and added some glitter dots for a little sparkle.

Hello...Sending Smiles

I created today's card with a new stencil. I masked off the flowers and sponged the leaves with DI's Mowed Lawn & Twisted Citron then masked off the leaves and sponged them with DI's : Ripe Persimmon & Crackling Campfire. I die cut my 'hello' three times in white card and once in black and layered them for dimension. I then stamped my sub-sentiment and popped it below. I die cut my first and second panels. Mounted my first for some height and then layered them.

Ho Ho Ho

A new die to play with from Simon Says Stamps and I'm still using DP from my huge stash! I die cut my words and layered them over striped DP. I then stamped, coloured and fussy cut my penguins. I coloured their feet the wrong colour but we won't talk about that. I drew a fine black border around the top panel before I added my penguins. I added some red dots with a Tombow Pen and added glass finish glue to the baubles so they had a bit of shine. Once I had finished all of that, I foam mounted my panel.

The Season of Peace

Adding to my Christmas stash because it is July...I created my background by swiping DI Forest Moss, Rustic Wilderness & Bundled Sage on my mini media mat. I spritzed my watercolour card stock and the distress inks then swirled my card stock to mix the colours. I did that a few times, drying my card in between swipes. I then die cut the panel and stamped my trees and sentiment onto the smaller panel. I also added tiny black dots with a fine point pen for a little added interest. I then layered the panel onto some dark green coloured card stock and layered that onto the full panel matching up the blotches. I finished the card off by foam mounting the front panel.

From Our Family To Yours

I had been playing around with my new Go Press Foil machine and had created this border. I think I'm like a lot of other people and have a lot of designer paper laying around not being used. So after seeing several tutorials on using up your paper with strips, I thought I would give it a go. I die cut my tree and then layered coordinating paper in a pleasing manner and then attached my card panel. I then die cut a star several times, twice in white card and once in gold and adhered them together for a bit of extra dimension. I felt it needed a little something more so I stamped a sub-sentiment and layered it on gold card as well. I used foam tape to lift my panel up as well as the sub-sentiment for some more dimension to finish off the card.

Happy Happy Birthday to You

I created this card for daughters partner. I ink blended my Distress Inks, stamped my background image with Watermark Ink and heat embossed with White EP. I die cut the happy sentiment twice and then three more time with black card for each word. I then adhered them all together and attached to the base and I added a sub-sentiment. I layered the panel onto black and navy card.

Have a lovely day

I seem to be in the pink zone of late and here is another pink card. I lightly sponged my tiny hearts stencil to create a soft background. I then die cut my panel with a stitched die and then inked the edges with the same DO Kitsch Flaming ink that I used for the stencil.  I then die cut my scribble heart three times and adhered them together. I worked out my placement and added my sentiment and scribble heart and a few tiny pearls for added interest.

Lots of Love

I had another go at Copic colouring for today's card...still need to practice. I stamped my floral image multiple times then coloured them with Copic markers. I then die cut out my panel, layered it on an embossed white card and layered that onto a matching pink card. I die cut my sentiment three times and adhered them together for extra dimension and added a sub-sentiment on black card underneath. I also added some pink pearls to finish it off.

A Beautiful Birthday

An easy but soft and pretty card today. I watercoloured my background panel with DO's. I swiped them in the rainbow order then spritzed them with water before placing my card into the rainbow. I dried the panel off with my heat tool then die cut my Flowery Thinlits panel and adhered it to the rainbow base. I die-cut my sentiment two times and layered them for a bit of dimension and added a sub-sentiment. I then finished my card off with a few sequins for a bit of glitz.

Geometric Birthday

Today I found a geometric stamp in my stash for an upcoming male birthday. I stamped the image three times in Distress Ink : Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke & Black Soot. I made sure I left room for my sentiment which I stamped in the top right hand corner. I then framed my base with black card stock and pop dotted it onto the main card. I left it CAS for the male recipient, it took a lot of will power not to add bling...lol.
