After 21 years raising our family here, this happened…so now we’re off to follow a dream that we have had for a long time. Australia…here we come!

Our first stop was Lake Proserpine. We have visited the lake before but until only 3 years ago, you weren't allowed to camp, so we thought we would make this our first stop.On the way, we stopped for a fresh prawn roll for lunch in Home Hill.
Whilst we were at Lake Proserpine there was a fire in the hills in the distance which gave some very impressive photos.
Our campsite with water views.

Today, we moved onto Cape Palmerston, south of Sarina. There wasn't a lot to see in this area so we had a quiet few days. There was a small path the led down to the beach, it was a bit smelly walking through, we think it might have been due to coral spawning.
We went for a drive into the national park which looked out over the islands.
We headed off to Rockhampton to restock our pantry. We camped up in the free rest area that is part of the Kershaw Gardens and across the road from a shopping centre.

The next day we headed off towards Mt Morgan on our way to Biloela.
This bell was cast from the pennies that the Mt Morgan school children donated to assist with the Seige of Mafeking.
Jordyn took the below photo many years ago when we were in Mt Morgan, so Trev & I took an updated one in the same seat.
