Musical Birthday

I made today's card for our son who has a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. He likes the black & red colour combo so I went with that. I stamped some music for a background, stamped and fussy cut the guitar, die cut my 'happy' then stamped and coloured my 'birthday' in red and added a couple of red gems for a touch more of colour.

Wonderful Birthday

My last card for the day, I created my background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst sprays & Brusho Crystal Colours, dried it off and stamped my sentiment. Added a frame that I had in my stash and some little flowers I had laying on my desk from another project, they had been previously watercoloured with DO's and finished it all off with some clear sequins.

Deck the Halls

Today's card is a non traditional Christmas card. I layered my base card on silver/grey paper then I stamped 3 baubles in black and fussy cut them. Pop dotted them, drew on some strings and added a few little stars for added interest and finished off with my sentiment.

Challenge #31 - Monochrome

LOVE

I have created today's card for my cousin who is marrying his love next month. I started off with a background that I made with watered down DI's. Before it dried I laid one of my stencils onto it to give it a soft background pattern. I have then die cut a couple of fancy ovals out of gold card, stamped my swans and embossed with gold glitter EP and then stamped again with clear EP and fussy cut them. I did the same for my 'love' sentiment and added a couple of the little stars that were cut out of one of the die cuts.

Quilted Floral Birthday

Today's card was inspired by Yana Smakula. I just love Yana's cards, pop on over to her site for a peek, link is here. I used a blue base card like the card I was casing, this is right out of my comfort zone but I thought, you like Yana's card so just roll with it. I don't have the same stamps so have adapted the design with what I have in my stash. I embossed the blue base card then stamped my 'happy' sentiment in blue and clear embossed it. Coloured some pre stamped flowers that I have been saving for a rainy day and fussy cut them as well as some leaves. Stamped my 'birthday' sentiment on to white card for contrast and added white square pearls on the bottom half of the card for some added interest.
