Blue Mandela

I created today's card by sponging some DI Peacock Feathers onto the base of my card. I then inked my new stencil with DI Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Picket Fences. I die cut my sentiment 3 times, once with glitter card stock for the top layer and then stamped 'wishes' and my sub-sentiment onto a strip of white card and pop dotted it and the base card. I then added some clear sequins for added interest to finish off.

Rainbow Birthday

I picked up a set of 3 stencils from K Mart this week and this one was calling my name! After watching a Gina K tutorial check it out here where she was making rainbow backgrounds with acrylic blocks, I decided to combine the background technique and my new stencil to make a bright birthday card. I swiped my DI's in rainbow order onto my block, then spritzed with water and stamped onto my card. I then layered my stencil and blended the same colours over the same coloured area to produce my pattern. I then die cut my birthday sentiment three time and stacked them for dimension and added a banner with my sub sentiment. To finish off, I foam mounted the panel and I added a few clear sequins for added interest.

Floral Bunch

Today's card was created by cutting out my flowers from Sizzix Thinlits #661808 Wildflowers with white card stock and then creating a watercolour look with my Copic markers. I then layered the card base with contrasting card stock and arranged my flowers. I stamped my sentiment on black card and heat embossed it with white embossing powder and finished it off with some sequins for added interest.

Four Cards - One A4 Cardstock

I created these four cards after watching a tutorial by Therese at Lost in Paper. You score one piece of A4 cardstock into four sections then stamp your images. Once you are happy with your images, cut the card along the score lines to create four panels and start creating! If you are interested in looking at the tutorial, link is here.

Have a Lovely Day

I created today's card by firstly stamping my sentiment and then stamping my flowers to make a frame for the sentiment. I then coloured the flowers and sponged a bit more colour around the edges. I sprayed the whole layer with Perfect Pearls Mist and then layered onto contrasting coloured card to finish off.

Hello Friend

I created today's card for an overseas Pen pal. I created my background by taping off the edges of my card to create a frame. I then wet my surface and did a wash with DI Mowed Lawn. I dried it off and then coloured the stamped image that was over the green background. I then stamped part of my sentiment and die cut the rest and pop dotted it for added interest.

Sent With Love

Today's card was made for my SIL's birthday. I did something a bit different and die cut a piece of the front card and replaced it with holographic plastic. I surrounded the plastic with flowers and positioned and stamped my sentiment where it could be read even when the card is closed. I added a few sequins and gems to finish it off.
