July's challenge (yes I am actually a day early with my post) for the RobVikVik challenge was a technique challenge that Robyn put forward. She saw Kristina's beautiful card here and challenged us to use the technique Kristina had used. So other than using this technique our colour and layout was 'anything goes'. Sadly I must admit it has been so long since I have heat embossed that I didn't know if my powder would work but lucky for me it did and I am really pleased with how the card turned out. I have used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but didn't make the band quite as big as it should be as I didn't want to cut too much of the pretty background card I had just made. I was also able to use one of the die cuts I cut out while visiting Robyn last month to finish it off with a sentiment. It feels really good to have made this card and be happy with it, the fact that it has come together so easily is nice as I have been missing my mojo for a while now. I wasn't able to have my regular stamping day on Saturday as our son turned 18 and he had a party that night but lucky for me it is a public holiday (Show Day) so I am stamping today. Take time to celebrate....in the sun

Well, today I have struggled to get my mojo happening and my card to come together...so much so I have changed tact about 3 times but finally I have finished a card and I'm really happy with the end result. I made this card with the latest theme from Cards in Envy in mind - Fun in the Sun....this card shows exactly where I live, in the tropics, even though it's not summer here at the moment but then most people would say we don't have a winter <grin>. Our Beautiful World...By the Seashore

 Well it's been a while since I have been able to play along with the Our Beautiful World team so I was happy to see that this week's theme was By the Seaside which I have lots of photos of. My first shot is of  little Soldier Crabs...I love these little guys and its so nice to see them when we walk along the beach as there doesn't seem to be as many as there used to be when I was a child.

  The next shot is of friends and family having some quiet fishing time...I'm not much of a fisher person but when I saw them stretched out along the shoreline, I just knew it would be a great photo.

This is just a nice scenic shot....

And an early evening shot of the moon rising up over the horizon...

And last but not least...here is my hubby and our little dog Ozzie. Ozzie used to be terrified of water so it is great to see him walking out into the waves quite happily these days just because he was walking with Dad he knew he would be safe.

RobVikVik June Challenge

 Well it's been a couple of weeks since I've had a play in my craft room and this is what I came up with. This challenge is created by our small group, my friend Robyn + my sister in law Vikki R + myself which is why it's called the RobVikVik challenge. This month Robyn chose the layout, Vikki R requested a dress to be used and I picked a photo inspiration. I love this dress stamp but don't use it enough so it was a great suggestion by Vikki. It's a wet and cold day here in Nth Queensland which to be honest is making it a miserable day so I hope your Saturday is much nicer....until next time, happy stamping.

I've finally been able to post my card...yippee!!...damn internet!!...an ongoing saga in our house. Anyway, I have chosen to play along with Cardabilities using their latest sketch and the latest colour combo from the new Time Out Challenges to help create my card. Also over at The Shabby Tea Room they want wheels, pink flowers & texture and I've had this lady on a scooter and those tiny little flowers floating around my desk for a long time now so it's good to finally get to use them, I knew they would come in handy one day...hehe....

Well, I'm off to do some chores as I have been out with the hubby all morning visiting an injured friend and then going out to lunch together. We regularly go out to lunch when we can because he is a shift worker who works away which I also work out of town too and we haven't had dinner together since last Sunday. So now I have to catch up on my house work or it won't get done until next weekend as it just doesn't happen through the week for me. As promised, I'm back with another post and another card for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I'm really happy with this card and even more happy that I've used my lamp post stamp that I have had for a while but not got around to using. I also used my new water brush to colour in my lights and flowers..woohoo...I have wanted one since I saw my mate Robyn using one and finally got one this week. Over at The Card Concept the have a great colour combo and they also want you to create a card using one of the styles the DT have done....I have chosen Clean & Simple. Happy Birthday floral banner....

 Hi Fellow Stampers, it is a bit of a dreary day here with no real rain just annoying drizzle which makes it hard to get your washing dry. Anyway onto better things...here is my first card for my stamping Saturday, as I've said before I love the CAS(E) this Sketch challenges and they are my first stop each Saturday. For today's card, I've used a new Spellbinder die that I bought this week while I was away for work. I am a travelling sales rep and one of my stops is at a small township called Babinda which has a really great craft shop. Scraptherapy is also an online store so if you get a chance check it out...sadly...I am that much of a regular that even if they are actually closed to the public, she will always let me in to shop as she knows I am just passing through which is what happened this week. I went in for one thing but of course came out with more than that...hehe....
So, this weeks card I've made using the latest CAS(E) this Sketch for my design and I've also used the latest colour combo from Colour Me! Hope your day is going well, I'll be back soon with another post, see you then.

This is my last card for the day...I have to go and start getting organised for a good friends 50th. For this card I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities, the latest colour combo from Colour Me and over at CASology they want Flowers. I actually made my background paper and the pink flowers I have used. I actually have to make some more of those little flowers as I've run out. Another post for my stamping Saturday...for this card I have used the latest sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, a nice bright colour combo from colourQ and CASology want flowers....who doesn't love flowers?? I also got to use a sentiment from a new set of stamps I received this week from the Inspired by Stamping store . Todays post is a card I made last week for our little circle of friends May challenge. I wasn't able to post it last week as we had Internet problems...a continual problem for us because of where we live...very frustrating!! Anyway, there are three of us playing along and this month Vikki R picked the layout - an old CAS(E) this Sketch layout - Robyn picked the photo inspiration and I chose to use a new or old stamp that hasn't been used for a very long time.The stamp I've used is one of my first stamps ever bought and I still love it even if I don't use it very much. My butterfly is an unusual colour and actually looks better in real life then in the photo, I could of used a lady beetle stamp but I chose to step outside the box and do something different. you brighten my day

Here's another card for the latest Annabelle Stamps challenge...like I said in my previous post, I really liked the DT cards for this months challenge. While surfing recently I had noticed a card where the image was cut through then part of it popped up on mounting tape, I really liked this and it has been on my to do list so when I saw this card by Therese it really grabbed my eye as well so I have used her card for inspiration too. For my colour scheme, I have taken up the challenge from City Crafter who want a citrus flavour, I don't usually do citrus so it was a great challenge. Make sure you pop on over and check both challenges out and Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there as it's Mothers Day today here in Oz. I'm off to have brekky with my beautiful daughter then tonight we are all going out to dinner together...I'm being spoilt...
