This weeks prompt for Our Beautiful World is BLOOM...and there is nothing prettier than a new flower. This is a Hibiscus flower from one of our many Hibiscus plants that we have in our garden. I really love the striking orange with the hot pink inner... There are some really pretty BLOOMs over at OBW so make sure you pop on over and check them out.

I love hibiscus ... they don't seem to do too well in my garden ... Thanks so much for sharing at Our Beautiful World!!
ReplyDeleteVikki...I first fell in love with the Hibiscus when we were in Hawaii last year...so this year I was determined to try it on my own! I have just a small patio area so have all my plants in pots, including my hibiscus...but it is not doing well! It seems to drop a lot of the buds before they can open....any suggestions??? Yours are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Jay, to be honest I am not a gardener so I really can't give you any tips. I just plant something I like and if it lives..it lives..hehe. I see you're in Texas which I would think would be hot and dry which we are most of the year. Perhaps it's the soil and maybe a bit of liquid fertilizer might help. Good luck.
