S:CY #412

Hi All, well it's ANZAC day in Australia today so we have a public holiday to remember the fallen & the men & women who have or are still fighting for our great country. After doing a bit of admin work, then going to the ANZAC parade, visiting my beautiful little nieces and my big niece & nephew I came home and did some housework till my mate text me to see if I was doing any stamping today. I must admit I had intended to but just didn't have any mojo happening but after getting online and skyping with Robyn it boosted both our mojo's so here we are. Before I post the card I made today here is the card I made for the April card sketch on Sketches: Creatively Yours.

Make sure you hop across and check out the very talented ladies we have on the DT on this great blog. Be back shortly....

Sweet Sunday Sketch #156

Well I am back with another card for my stamping Saturday. I really like this card!! I just love the blue, soft brown & green together, I think it looks very pretty. For the design of this card I have used the latest Sweet Sunday sketch. It felt like a 'male' sketch to me but I really wanted to use these papers so I took the plunge and this is what I came up with. I hope you like too. Thanks for stopping by and until next time, happy crafting.

Inspired by Stamping #4 + The Shabby Tea Room #109

IBSIC-#4

Hi Blogger Friends, well today is a good day!! I am stamping with my friend Robyn finally, as she has been away for the last 4 weeks. Well the good thing was, she was actually in Townsville as her daughter was getting married so I got to see her in person but it meant no stamping together as she has been busy making bridesmaid dresses. The wedding went well and is all over and she got home yesterday, so here we are!! She had to fly all the way back to West Oz just so we could spend the afternoon together skyping & stamping!!! LOL!!! Technology is amazing....gotta love Skype!!!
Anyway, back to my card. Today I have used the latest sketch from Inspired by Stamping & for the colour scheme I have used the latest Shabby Tea Room colours. Part of the Shabby Tea Room challenge was to make a birthday card that also had a cupcake on it. I must admit, I have struggled with this card for some reason and still don't know if I am completely happy with it...but it is what it is. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. I am off to make another card so hopefully I will be back soon. Until then, happy stamping.

Deconstructed Sketch #46 + Inspired by Stamping - IBSIC#3

Mla101446_0406_tulipstable_xl

Hi Stampers, well I finally finished this card that I started yesterday and just found out I missed posting it in time for both challenges!!! Not to worry, as you can see I used the Deconstructed Sketch #46 for the design and IBSIC #3 challenge for the Colour Scheme. I really like this card and it is not really 'me' as I don't gravitate to these type of colours so it's nice when you step outside the square and it turns out well. Hope you like it too and thanks for stopping by. Until next time...happy stamping.

Inspired by Stamping - IBSIC#2

IBSIC2

Hi All, I hope your weekend is going well. We have been away up to a friends 'beach hut' for the weekend so I didn't get much time to stamp this weekend. Luckily for me, we got home a bit earlier than normal, so after cleaning up & unpacking, I stole a short afternoon nap and woke up recharged and with an urge to do some stamping. My friend Robyn came across this new challenge site 'Inspired by Stamping' earlier in the week and flicked the link onto me so I thought I would support them & make a card using their sketch. For some unusual reason, I felt like making a 'male' card (that is not normal for me) and this is what I came up with. I hope you like it & make sure you check out the new challenge blog 'Inspired by Stamping' and join in the fun. Until next time, happy stamping.....

The Sweet Stop #SSS151 & The Play Date Cafe #124

Hello Fellow Bloggers, well I actually sat down again this morning and made another card, this is a big thing considering I didn't really feel like stamping at all this weekend!! For this card, I chose the latest sketch from The Sweet Stop & for the colours the latest challenge from Play Date Cafe. These are really colours I would think of combining but that is what makes it fun. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Until next week, happy stamping or whatever else life brings you.

Mojo #233 & Color Throwdown #CTD184

Hi Stampers, well I haven't made a card for a couple of weeks now as my stamping buddy Robyn is away for several weeks so I don't have her to motivate me. But this morning after talking to her last night when she gave me a bit of a pep talk I made myself sit down and have a look at the latest challenges. I ended up picking this weeks mojo monday sketch and this weeks color throwdown challenge and this is what I came up with. This card sort of just evolved because of the colours we had to use and with the paper I picked to make it with. I really had to make a sympathy card for another good friend of mine who's Mum passed away last week. Even though that wasn't what I intended to make, as I was busy making this card, I thought it could be turned into one as the paper lent it that way. I hope she likes it and I hope you do too.
Thanks for stopping by....until next time, happy stamping.

Deconstructed Sketch #42 & Play Date Cafe #122

Well Stampers, I am back with another card for the day, this time I have used the latest sketch from Deconstructed Scketch & for the colour scheme I have used the latest challenge from the Play Date Cafe girls. Yellow is not a colour I gravitate too but its always good to step outside your comfort zone every now & again. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Until next time....

Mojo #231

Hi Fellow Stampers, I am having a great Saturday, stamping & skyping with my good friend Robyn. Can't beat that for a combination!! I am really happy with the card I have made today using this weeks Mojo sketch. I have to say I got a lot of inspiration from Andrea Ewen's Mojo card as I was struggling for inspiration when I first sat down.  Hope you like it too, thanks for stopping by.

Mojo #230 & Shabby Tea Room #103 - Shabby Shutters

Hi All, I hope your weekend is off to a flying start...I have had a good day today even though my stamping buddy is not with me, hopefully we will have a skype/stamping day next saturday as long as life doesn't get in our way....
This morning, I sat down and made a card using the latest Mojo Monday sketch and the the latest Shabby Tea Room colour scheme. I used one of my new Spellbinders I bought recently. Always exciting getting new stuff!! Then I was off to have a little 'birthday party for my beautiful little niece Kacee. Kacee is a very special little girl, not only was I lucky enough to be able to be there for her birth but she is a 'Leap Year' babe, so this is her very first 'actual' birthday she has had as we usually celebrate her birthday a day early.
Anyway, I hope you like my card, making circle cards is always out of my 'comfort zone' but I attempt them every now and then, hope you like it and until next time, thanks for stopping by.

I am on a Design Team!!!

WOW!! I never thought I would ever be on a Design Team but here I am!!! I made a card using an old sketch design from Sketches:Creatively Yours late last year and when I posted it to Ali she added my email & card to the blog and told me about the DT call that would be happening soon and asked me to apply. After much tooing & froing wondering if I would have the time to give this position the commitment it deserves.....I took the plunge!! I am sooooo excited and very proud to have been chosen to be a part of this team. Ali & Ann are such lovely ladies and I have been made to feel very welcome & wanted from the very first moment I contacted them. They are not only lovely they are very creative and looking at the new DT blogs this also applies to them. Make sure you go and check out the DT amazing creations on their blogs and whether you are a scrapbooker or a card maker there will be something on Sketches:Creatively Yours to give you inspiration. Until next time, thanks for stopping by.
