Hi Bloggers....Happy New Year to all, I hope your new year has started off well for you which it has for me. I don't get to post too often at What's on Your Workdesk but I am currently on holidays....woohoo...even though I go back tomorrow for one day, I don't go back to work completely until Monday so it's still 'all good'!! Because I'm on hols I have actually had time to make some cards over the last few days and I actually have time to post a pic of my desk. My desk doesn't change too much but I have noticed that people post different things to do with what they are doing at that time so maybe this year I will take a pic of where I am on a Wednesday as I travel a lot for work and I visit some lovely parts of Australia that might interest some of you. Anyway...back today...as we are still in the Festive Season mode, I have started making some Christmas cards for next Christmas!! I am so pleased with myself as it is usually a bit of a rush for me towards the end of the year. Here I am in the process of making a card for the latest challenge over at Retro Sketches. The cards I have made over the last few days have been very CAS which seems to be my style these days so I have made 3 of each design if I am happy with the end result while I still have everything out. On my window sill are cards my friends have made for me and a new pretty little 'friend' ornament I was given by a long time girlfriend. To the left is a new stamp set I got from winning a challenge over at Annabelle Stamps a couple of months ago which I am really happy with...they stamp so nicely!! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my desk and may 2014 be an awesome year for you!!
hullo there Vikki... ah lovely to have time to play... and love how you have the weather for Townsville on your sidebar and 29c is pretty good. We are very spoilt here.

Hello Vicki,
ReplyDeleteHappy 2014, so pleased to hear you are off to a good start with the Christmas Cards, seriously I didn't finish some of my special ones for last Christmas and will be finishing them soon so I too am in the C mode still and it is a good thing too. Why not go with the flow and stay 20 steps ahead when you can.
If you are ever in Melbourne drop me a line and we will catch up.
Happy 2014 and thanks for visiting.

Happy New Year, Vikki. Thanks for already visiting me. No, I doubt my desk will stay empty for long - I like to be busy and useful whenever possible...
ReplyDeleteYou are seriously ahead of the game - already making cards for next year - er... THIS year!!
I, too, hope hubby's health improves this year - although it hasn't started too well - up most of the night.
Have a great year.

I agree you can never start making Christmas cards early that way there's no crazy rush at the end :) Hugs Nikki
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR too
It sure is nice to have a couple of days off after the holidays to recuperate from all the excitement, especially if you can work in your studio. You are wise to start making Christmas cards this early. Happy New Year and WOYWW! #82
