It' been a couple of weeks since I have been able to sit at my desk and make a card so today is a good day. I picked this stamp set up when I was in Melbourne last week so it's good to see I have been able to use them so soon. For this card I have used the latest sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and for colour..I have taken up the challenge from CASology who want 'contrast'...nothing like black & white with a pop of colour for contrast. Hope your weekend is off to a good start...until next time...happy stamping.

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday #240
Hi All, well I wasn't at my desk on Wednesday as I was away for work but as part of my New Years resolution....(sort of)....I am going to show you where I was. As I am a Sales Rep that travels to some of the most beautiful parts of North Queensland in Australia, I thought you might be interested in what I get to see regularly. This week I was in the Mackay/Whitsunday region which as you can see is absolutely stunning!! Sadly this week I was just passing through, I only stopped for an hour or so before I had to keep moving on but when I saw the water I just had to take a photo for you. This was taken in Airlie Beach which is probably the main part of the Whitsunday region because it has all these beautiful islands just off the coast from it which has holiday resorts on them. It is the major tourist attraction of this area and I am sure you can appreciate why. Sometimes, I am lucky enough to have to stay overnight which I did just before Christmas.
This photo is showing you all the apartments and holiday apartments on the main hill looking out over Airlie Beach which to be honest is a rather a small area.
And this photo is showing you their view which is why they have covered the hill with units. I'm not lucky enough to stay in one of them (the budget doesn't quite cover that heehee) but where I do stay is on the beach so I am looking at the same view just a lot lower....lol....still beautiful though. If you are ever in the area make sure you check it out as the tours take you out to some of the most beautiful spots where you can snorkel over the stunning reef. If you're wondering why I am showing you this, pop on over to Julia's blog where she will explain it all. I hope to be back next week but that will actually be my desk which as fantastic as it is just doesn't quite compare to this weeks 'desk'. Thanks for popping in...

Happy Birthday...
Hello Stamping Friends, I started this card yesterday but didn't quite have enough time to finish it off so I have ducked out to my craft room to add the finishing touches and to post it. I have used the latest sketch from the DT at Cardabilities and I've made the card with my nephew in mind as his birthday is coming up soon. I also 'cased' Rose's (DT) card as I thought it suited a teenage boy really well...thanks for the inspiration Rose. Until next time...happy stamping.

Peace Love Joy
Another card to post and another Christmas card for my 2014 collection. For this card I have used the latest sketch from Feeling Sketchy and some more stamps from a new set I got recently. I think I'm coming to the end of my Christmas card run...feel like I have to make a birthday card or two...I'll see what happens.
Thanks for popping by.

A special Christmas card....
Hi Stamping Friends, I just wanted to post some pictures of a special Christmas card I made for a special friend. I had bought this Marianne Designs die while on holidays in September so when I saw Monika's card pop up on the Pinterest email using the same die I had to check it out! Her card was so pretty that I just had to 'case' it. Thanks for the inspiration Monika! I'm posting my card onto the latest Sparkles Christmas Challenge where they want more than one fold, pop on over and check it out if you can. Thanks for the heads up Brenda. Happy Stamping all...Vikki

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday - New Years Day 2014!!
Hi Bloggers....Happy New Year to all, I hope your new year has started off well for you which it has for me. I don't get to post too often at What's on Your Workdesk but I am currently on holidays....woohoo...even though I go back tomorrow for one day, I don't go back to work completely until Monday so it's still 'all good'!! Because I'm on hols I have actually had time to make some cards over the last few days and I actually have time to post a pic of my desk. My desk doesn't change too much but I have noticed that people post different things to do with what they are doing at that time so maybe this year I will take a pic of where I am on a Wednesday as I travel a lot for work and I visit some lovely parts of Australia that might interest some of you. Anyway...back today...as we are still in the Festive Season mode, I have started making some Christmas cards for next Christmas!! I am so pleased with myself as it is usually a bit of a rush for me towards the end of the year. Here I am in the process of making a card for the latest challenge over at Retro Sketches. The cards I have made over the last few days have been very CAS which seems to be my style these days so I have made 3 of each design if I am happy with the end result while I still have everything out. On my window sill are cards my friends have made for me and a new pretty little 'friend' ornament I was given by a long time girlfriend. To the left is a new stamp set I got from winning a challenge over at Annabelle Stamps a couple of months ago which I am really happy with...they stamp so nicely!! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my desk and may 2014 be an awesome year for you!!
Christmas Snowflake

I hope I have done Beverly's card justice as I am really happy with the end result. Make sure you pop on over and check out Beverly's blog here. I'm also adding my card to the Cards In Envy who's theme is ICY or HOT. Thanks for stopping by.
